Saturday morning finds me moving more of my chores to the Google Keep app. This will make any future moves to new computers and devices less troublesome. I think. Time will tell. it always does.

A pretty good sense of satisfaction is on me tonight as I recap this Friday. After realizing that the little laptop I've been using as one of my production machines was hopelessly fubared, I pulled an old machine (maybe 12 years old, something like that) out of mothballs and loaded a Debian Buster OS on it. Man! it feels SO GOOD to be working with straight Debian again! For the last several years I'd let myself be seduced by how “easy” it is to install and use the Linux Mint OS. Prior to using Mint I'd been a Debian guy for many happy years. And now I'm back using it again. Oh, the Happiness!

Have just spent 2 frustrating hours trying to fix a sick computer. I think this one's a hopeless case. Darn it. At least I've got a back up laptop I can use.

Wednesday night, tired after a long day. But it's a good kind of tired. A long evening meeting with friends, men who I greatly respect. And it appears I'm to be elected to another term of office. Now for a good night's sleep.

Tuesday is moving smoothly through all designated chores. As did yesterday. Monday was actually so filled with chores that I didn't have time to enter a “Quick Notes” post. But it was a good, productive day.

Enjoying a relaxing, stress-free Sunday. Having gone to evening Mass yesterday, I was able to stay home this morning and avoid going out in the rainy cold. Planning to take Sylvia out to a movie this afternoon. This'll be the first we've seen one in a theater since... sometime before Covid.

A pretty good Saturday is winding down. I was productive enough on a number of fronts, and resisted the temptation to over do. If I can go to sleep without any excessive worries, maybe I can have better blood pressure numbers tomorrow morning. That'd be nice.

And right on schedule, the eyelids get heavy, the brain slows noticeably, and I know without a doubt that it's time to start shutting things down. Doors are all locked, front porch light is on for the wife when she gets home from Bingo, time now to brew up a cup of sleepy time tea. Bet I'll be in bed within the hour.

We appear to have been adopted by a medium sized brown dog who loves to hang out in our back yard. Considering what to do. I set out some water for him this morning. Wife wants to pick up some dog food. Says he looks skinny. Oh my. Don't know where this is going to lead.
