Mariners take sole position of first place in AL West as Rangers’ tailspin continues – The Athletic 🔗

The Mariners (74-56) have gone 36-14 since July 1, boasting the best record in baseball during that stretch. It marks Seattle’s best 50-game stretch since going 36-14 from April 23 to June 18, 2003, per the team.

The Rangers (73-57) are 1-9 in their last 10 games.

Three sentences that tell the story of my heartbreak. I fear we’re going to miss the playoffs after being at the top since April.

Creating a first post after a long break from any online presence feels like a high-pressure situation. There are numerous reasons for my hiatus, but I think it mainly comes down to fear of stepping into the usual social network mess and that I have nothing to add to too many voices competing for online ears.

Writing, posting photos, and connecting with others online are just too compelling. The urge to have some outlet that isn't X, Facebook, or Instagram ultimately won.

So, let's get this blog off the ground... Again.
