Inspired by the words, rather than the sentiment of William Blake’s “And did those feet in ancient times (Jerusalem)”. I’m not a gratuitous warmonger. Honest.
When Orion climbs
his shout doth orders mete;
Bring me my sword and scabbard!
In battle my enemy they shall meet
and in victory be sheathed.
When Orion shines
his shout doth orders mete;
Bring me my bow and quiver!
In battle I shall nock and loose
their ranks will thin and wither.
When Orion rises
his shout doth orders mete;
Bring me my club to swing!
In battle be swathed amidst my foe
will havoc wreak and terror sow.
