In Summary: * Indiana scores first. A field goal near the end of the 1st quarter puts us up 3 – 0. Throughout the game thus far the teams appear to be evenly matched. And there's a lot of football yet to go.

In Summary: * Another quiet Sunday winds down. Looking ahead to the upcoming week I see one phone call I'll need to make tomorrow morning, two other calls I'll probably need to make on Wednesday, and other than that ... smooth sailing. After a good night's sleep, which I anticipate having, Monday morning will find me ready and willing to take it on.

In Summary: * Happy Birthday to me. Today I am 77 years old. And I've had a good day. Thanks to all who sent me Happy Birthday wishes. It's been a quiet Saturday in the Roscoe-verse. I followed two Big Ten Conference Basketball Games this afternoon: Indiana losing to Iowa, and Purdue beating USC. Last night's sleep was a short one, so I plan to turn in early tonight, hoping for a better, longer Saturday into Sunday sleep.

In Summary: * I've been thinking lately about Art Bell, and how I wish he was still with us and doing his show. Earlier this evening I followed a link sent by a friend on another social platform, and I've been listening to the Dark Journalist. SO MUCH like Art! When I thanked her for the link, she suggested another channel that a lot of Art's fans follow. Yes, I'll check that out too. Later. :)

In Summary: * As evening slowly slides toward night, I'm listening to one of my favorite news talk radio hosts as he wraps up his show. Stories that are catching most of my attention these days on the Internet involve the US expanding the old Monroe Doctrine, Alberta's move toward independence from Canada, Greenland moving away from Denmark and into the sphere of US protection, and stories that deal with folks aging successfully through their 70's and into their 80's and 90's.

In Summary: * From the two Big Ten Conference Basketball Games I followed earlier today (IU losing an exciting game to Nebraska, and Purdue winning an even more exciting game over Penn St.), through working on all my pending correspondence chess games, this has been one smooth and satisfying Saturday. Listening now to relaxing music as evening gives way to night, my plans include wrapping up my night prayers and heading for an early bedtime.
