Roscoe's Story

This is my story and I'm stick'n to it.

In Summary: * This has been a very good Saturday in the Roscoe-verse. I woke much earlier today than I usually do on Saturdays. Worries about a situation that is outside my control kept me from returning to bed. So I applied myself to normal chores around this joint. And focused on my prayers throughout the day. Really focused on them. By midday those worries that woke me had mostly left me, though the particular situation remains unchanged. And this evening, I'm happy to say I'll be able to retire with peace of mind.

In Summary: * Much of this Tuesday has been spent surfing the socials, looking for “news releases,” WNBA rumors, and “analysis reports” ahead of tonight's WNBA Semi-Finals Game between the Fever and the Aces. And yes, I found lots. I am really going to try and stay awake to hear the whole game, but that may be a challenge. It's going to be a late one. Opening tip is scheduled for 20:30. Ordinarily I'd be about ready for bed at that time. But, I am gonna try.

GO FEVER!

In Summary: * There were two pro games I really wanted to follow this afternoon: the Indiana Fever Semi-Final WNBA game vs the Las Vegas Aces, and the Indianapolis Colts NFL Game vs the Los Angeles Rams.

I'm glad I was able to listen to the entire Fever game. They won, played extremely well, and left me feeling happy and proud at game's end.

The Colt's game, on the other hand, was a disappointment. I tuned into that game as soon as the Fever game ended. It was early in the 3rd Quarter of the football game, so I listened to almost the entire 2nd half. The Colts lost. Up until this week they'd been undefeated. Oh well... That's how it goes.

In Summary: * When I was out with my weed-eater trimming my front yard I didn't expect to see water bubbling up out of the ground from a spot about 6 ft. into the yard from sidewalk. Oh-oh. So I got on the phone right away and called the land lord. I couldn't reach him so I called his plumbing contractor. Soon, after talking with both men, I had a crew of three plumbers and their shovels in my yard, ready to go to work. After six hours and finding two cracked pipes they had to replace, the plumbers left and I got on with my Friday. Got done what I could, and now I'm planning to relax, listening to my Indiana Fever play the Las Vegas Aces. GO FEVER!
