Winding down
Sun came out to play Friends, dog, baby, smiles again Whisky at the close
It's been a busy but enjoyable weekend. Good friends came for a day-trip from England, observing current COVID rules and trying to stay sensible distances from everyone else who was outside in the good weather. While we've seen them online every week, we hadn't seen them in the flesh for 15 months. We went for a walk in the series of green spaces along the Nant Fawr before picnicking near the house.
Baby was introduced to our friends' small and well behaved dog. Eyes wide, some hesitancy at first but smiles as well. When the sun is out and some social interaction is possible outside, you can almost forget for a moment... almost.
Ticked off a series of household tasks today, nothing major but combined with a good day yesterday makes for a satisfying weekend.
A small dram of Cragganmore Distillers Edition (port cask finish) while sitting in the rocking chair makes for a mellow wind down.
Nos da!
