Yesterday I realized the immense cost of my flexibility. If a flight from Oslo to Málaga can cost as little as 11€ and let's say regularly costs 100€...
For a few minutes I was stuck. Stuck in the feeling that I'm stuck. Resulting from ceaseless thoughts about future possibilities leading to the desperation of knowing that it is impossible to find the very best path.
I am currently in the flat of an old friend in Freiburg. It is not the same flat as two years ago and she broke up with her boyfriend and has a girlfriend now, but between us, not much has changed.
While walking through Freiburg I saw a rainbow flag with the letters PACE on it. Obviously it's supposed to be the Latin word for Peace.

I like the metaphor of life as a series of flights, and the structure one has built to support one's life as a plane. It could be a complex machine with many switches and buttons and screens and checklists, but an airliner can also carry quite a lot of people. It's the equivalent of a town or a company.
