2020: One More Fun Story ! ! !
2020, well, not a lot of good things can be written about it. Many people have been on the wrong side of the medal; life got tougher, but also a bunch of industries/ people have flourished throughout the year. Well, if you are an entrepreneur and you found new ways of income because your current income could not continue, all the power to you. Not everybody had that opportunity and I am thinking about those people also.
Well, not really a first paragraph that fits with the title ! ! ! Noah, our son, is changing teeth and last week was the first week with a little hole in his mouth. That was 19 teeth, a child has 20 in total. He swallowed it, so felt bad about it; still, we told him to make a nice drawing for the tooth fairy, and things would be okay
Earlier this week number 2 was swallowed and the hole is now complete :–) He was really proud of it and had made a drawing for the tooth ferry.
Yesterday I had to go to the bank. This is a place where you can get money, or talk about different things. I know some of you do not know what a bank is anymore, but I had some things to do. Well, I could not get close enough as there were a lot of policemen and firemen and a lot of smoke. Many people outside, let's not discuss Corona 1 ½ meter social distance, but it looked big.
Turned out to be fireworks in one of the apartments and well, it burnt out completely. So, we actually were able to go to the bank from the other side and I did my things and we went outside.
There, Noah saw a police car and he insisted me to go to it as he wanted to talk to the policeman. The police car was actually turning around, having a difficult time and wanted to hurry a bit as there were like 10 cars behind them. Noah knocked on the window and the policeman opened the window, I was like, what is he going to do ! ! ! And this is what happened:
Noah:
Hi, looked at my mouth, I am missing two teeth ! ! !
Really Noah is this why you want to talk to the policeman, who just came from a fire
The Policeman:
Oh let me look little man ..... oh I see it, you are correct
Noah:
Yeah, two are missing
The Policeman was really comfortable in his car, taking his time and I was only thinking about the 10 cars, now 16, behind him
The Policeman:
So tell me, how did the get missing, did a person take them, do you know how the person looked like ? ? ?
Noah:
NOOOOOOO, you silly (he said this smiling I such a way, he could get away with anything), nobody took them, I swallowed them when they were loose in my mouth, and he gave the policeman the look ! ! !
Policeman:
Oh, I see, smiling a lot ..... he like the little conversation...... well, we have an ambulance here, would you like me to ask the doctor to look at you ? ? ?
XRPTwin:
Oh ....... 17 cars ! ! !
Noah:
No, no, no, all is fine .... daddy said it will come out when I go to the toilet. So, you don't have to do that. Thank you BYE ! ! !
And that was the conversation.
I had to smile and almost got a tear in my eye. My little man ! ! !
The policeman smiled, turned on his lights for a moment and drove away. Some car drivers behind him looked mad at us, but all good.

Wordless Wednesday Dec 30: Fireworks !
COVID-19: Something Positive
Corona, it does not really scream positivity, but for me it has one positive thing: I don't have to show my hands ! ! !
Showing hands I do not like. yes, I like my hands and if they still need a hand model somewhere look no further, but it is not the finger, it is the nail. I hate my nails, and tough to say, but I bite my nails from time to time. I absolutely hate it, but it is just one of those things.
When people need to take a picture, my hands are not on it, if I can help it. I hate my nails, sure I bite them myself, but I just don't like my hands on pictures. Trying to hide, but when people don't tell me when the picture is shot, or a picture IS actually shot, yes, then it could happen.
Times I am really aware of it, that helps and I refrain of it, but, once again, it is just one of those things. COVID-19 helps, I don't have to see other people, shake hands, yes, that may be the only positive thing about COVID-19.
So, next week another challenge for myself, I will put on some transparent nail polish and hope that will help a bit. Never old enough to throw away bad habits.
So, Why do I bite nails. Habbit ...... Anxious ..... Scared .... I don't know why. Just hate that one word: Honey ...... and I know enough. Showing a picture here on Coil, no, I don't think so ! ! !
Let's see if I can do with some nail polish. When thinks look better, I will do a manicure when it opens up, maybe I don't want to touch them anymore, who knows. We will see ! ! !

We Were On A Break ! ! !
OR at least we ARE on a break ! ! ! Although, I am writing we,
I AM ON A BREAK
For a little bit as Christmas, the Christmas TABLE is not made of PURE healthy and lean products ! ! ! We have been doing a great job, Sportsmanlike, we are really in it and I am seriously enjoying it. Gord is a good man and without him I probably would not have taken this so serious.
Motivation is a very important factor and regarding, loosing weight, changing eating life style, it is more difficult to do it alone and staying at it alone.
Especially the weekly task we are giving each other. That helps me a lot and in the past weeks I have climbed the stairs in the city probably more than in my whole life. It is not that I ran them a lot but doing it more than 30 times a day, and a lot of days, I will still do it and will still try to loose weight, but my re-entry point is going to be January 1st.
Not going to have an eating feast, but there will be a couple days left, that may .... eh that will have some calorie rich products going to be neat my mouth, stomach.
As far as the Push-ups, I have done 2222 since November 1st; nice amount, BUT it is not enough ...... I still have 11 to do today, but 2222 for the blog, the magic number ! ! ! 207 push-ups to go, for the remainder of the year. DO IT , DO IT, DO IT .....
The last couple days we had great food on the table and we were thankful for all the things we have. It has been not an easy year, we had some negative news throughout the months, made some decisions that were not the smartest, but we are healthy and we have each other.
Looking at the numbers, the Dutch Lockdown seems to have a positive effect. That is not good news for a the retail stores that do not have sell food, drinks or medical products, but they predicted this and good it works out ! ! !
Now, I am going to watch a little bit of Dart .... something that belongs to the Christmas holidays.

Getting to know REAL ESTATE !
Santa Claus was nice enough to bring a game to teach our son some first real estate lessons. You can never be young enough to be introduced to the housing market. Of course I am talking about:
Monopoly
Monopoly Junior is really funny and we let Noah be the host of the game; of course we are helping but wise lessons to learn in this nostalgic game: paying rent, going to jail, going bankrupt, buying, selling, being social and always trying to be the first one to hit Boardwalk ! ! !
The Junior version of course has very easy rules but I like it. Streets only have 2 separate places, you must buy and there are really fun Chance cards:
The card pretty much says, you have to give the card to Little Penguin and in his/ her next turn, he/ she can go to a street of their likes and buy it. That makes the game really interesting and streets move between games.
It is fun to see Noah's first impressions; goes from being very happy, having The Dark Blue street complete to be unhappy going to jail. The funny part of “OUR” game is that every time somebody goes to jail, Noah needs to give a reason why that person went to jail. It started with not telling the truth, to stealing Legos, to tripping somebody on the floor.

Daddy lost, was the first one out of the game as Mommy got the Orange Street and the Red Street complete, double rent, and Noah got Boardwalk complete ! ! ! Also a funny detail, in the beginning if you hit a street that is still for sale, you MUST buy; unless you don't have the money.
Well, I told them I would write my blog as they were finishing the game. I am looking how the game is developing and while finishing up , they are STILL battling for first place. They have a bunch of streets together and it looks like a tie. It just goes on and on and on.
If this one is over we probably play another one and another one; it is going to be interesting day today.

SEC – XRP – RIPPLE
Wow, so impressed with what is going on in the Crypto Atmosphere, within the XRPCommunity, within direct family / friend groups.
Suddenly it is the haters, within my “friends, relatives” and family that reminded me of a certain Jay, a certain XRP Lawsuit and a certain Security XRP ! ! ! Well, First of all, there is no Jay anymore, the lawsuit is based on charges Ripple and two executives and is not a so called XRP lawsuit and Security XRP, well, not the 2020 Digital Asset. I do not know everything and yes XRP has to do with it, but it is different than the nay sayers shouting three words because they are quoting an article written on research that did not come from reliable sources that know the whole story.
I will first share my opinion about the whole situation before I am going to share the opinion of many others.
First of all, I would like to stress XRP cannot be used for ODL (On Demand Liquidity) if it is deemed a Security. That is just a fact. That for me is already an eye opener. I cannot believe, I refuse to believe that the SEC is going to halt this as there is a lot of money going through this. The United States will make money off it. According to Brad at this moment it is only 5%, but once US regulated and confirmed it can be used by US corporations/ financials, this 5% will go up of course.
Second of all, I believe this “lawsuit” is something that was needed to get the ball moving. Whether this was staged, well, I don't want to go that far, but with one lawsuit the crypto market can be made much more clearer. This is not JUST Ripple, it will set a precedent. With the Legal team Ripple has, I am not too worried about this case. Ripple has been building a team for many many years, strong names were added to the company, but still, it is going to cost money, time and motivation. All are available, although time .... rather shorter than long ! ! !

Well there you have it, many people believe it is going to be bad for the short term, but Ripple/ XRP are going to survive. Let's wait and see. I believe the first shock has landed, the first wave of people selling their XRP has been done. Now it is up to the exchanges to delist or proceed with the current situation. Let's wait and see.
I think this was a necessary evil turning into something beautiful .....

Shakira Shakira Shakira ......
A lot of years ago I had a friend that liked to brag. Bragging about everything, I bought a little aquarium for 2 goldfish, he would tell me about the warm water basin he had in his basement with all the things in it: the very exclusive tropical fish, special plants and the amazing eco system he was building ! ! !
A nice guy but as long as you would take his stories with a grain of salt ....... eh a factory of sold, it was all fine, actually it was just entertaining. One day he was talking about all his meetings with famous people; in some occasions they actually met with HIM and it was all fine. He went to a baseball game one day and partied with the whole Atlanta Braves team after winning a big game and him knowing I root for the Green Bay Packers, he would be able to set up a meet-up with Brett Favre (couple years ago) and we would chill. Well, let me share with you ...... I never met the good guy, talking about Brett of course ! ! !
I do remember a story that he actually flew from the US to Colombia and had a party with a couple friends and .... Shakira ! ! ! It was wild and he had a lot of fun. No pictures, (pre I-Phone) nothing, but he had the memories ! ! ! ! I did not ask for the stamps in his passport as he believed in it and well, we did NOT ! ! !
One day we decided to get him back. I was in the Netherlands for the summer, before going back to the US, so a perfect story could be thought of.
I would actually tell him I met Shakira myself
I actually spoke with her and we had a great time. It was during this TV-Show where she performed and spoke with friends / fans and the host of the show. That would be pretty wild. He would not be able to verify .... once again, the internet was not as advanced as today and tv-shows did not all appear on YouTube ...... yet, so, although I never thought about that back then, I was pretty much covered ! ! !
I could pull that off, I am pretty sure. Just had to get all the details right ! ! !
Oh well, the summer passed and back to the US. And of course, the meeting was planned. I spoke with him, or better said he spoke with me as he needed to share all the big stories with me ! ! ! So, it was my time to shine and I told him to sit down because it was THE meeting of a life time. I actually spoke with Shakira ....... Well, before I was able to finish my story, he told me it was not true because HE met Shakira. He was in Colombia for a while and met up with her again. Oh boy, well my story went to pieces, right
there ! ! !
I guess that I should have planned the story a little bit better ! ! !
I did not believe his story, don't get me wrong, but he just surprised me big time with it; his counter story was pretty well. Fast talker and his brain was able to come up with these stories on the fly.
The thing though, we were never able to catch him with his stories. He was always able to back his stories up with something and to leave him in his fantasy ........ we never said anything about it.
I will just stay in my fantasy ..... that I met Shakira ! ! !
