Affirmed Gender: An individual’s true #gender, as opposed to their gender assigned at birth. This term should replace terms like new gender or chosen gender, which imply that an individual’s gender was chosen.
I don't like this. The word “Affirmed” sounds like your gender has to be validated by some outside authority or experience. I tend to use “real” or “actual” in daily parlance. Like, “Anne was AMAB, but she's actually a girl” or “My driver's license doesn't have my real gender on it yet”.
