YU-GI-OH For the First Time
Today, the post is about my first mock battles in Yu-Gi-Oh duels. I was able to perform for the first time with my Amazon deck. My Amazon deck was a situation where I was in the right place at the right time. A used book shop had an entire deck for sale and I could not let this chance slip underneath me. Anyway, there is so much that I do not know and need to learn when it comes to my new deck. I need to understand the cards in my deck, know the difference between the various types of spell and trap cards, and be able to remember what cards are on my field. Apparently, the different symbols on spell cards are meant for various uses. I thought I knew the basics of the game, but in reality, I knew diddly-squat. Just because, someone watches the anime or reads the manga it does not mean that a normal person can just pick up the game up immediately. If you guys want to know my biggest mistake was thinking that every spell card had to wait a turn before being activated. For example, I wrongly used an equip card on an Amazoness card where it had to be immediately placed on the monster. Its stuff like this that gets people to feel stupid and clueless. These mock battles are very important for the reason of learning to duel as a hands-on experience. They do say that practice makes perfect, so I am going to keep the practice sessions ongoing. The more I learn, the more knowledgable than I become about Yu-Gi-Oh and its strategies involving the best use of a deck. Fun fact, I actually wanted to use an XZY summoning in the duel but only to find that Rank 16: Shock Master monster card is broken and banned. I hope my experience gives people a reason to seek more information and carefully do their research on the perfect deck. Remember, a deck is only as good as the wielder of the deck. Finally, the best advice for any dueler to follow is to “believe in the heart of the cards..” said Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh. Sometimes, having faith means you might need to take a risk and see it play out.
San-X's Celebration of 15 Years
When it comes to anime, people think of drawings coming alive on a screen of CG effects. However, anime has changed through the years and that evolution has made it spark in the ways to create high appeal for the culture. The different types of animations are traditional (drawing), 2D (digital drawing), 3D (computer software), motion graphics (moving text predominantly), and stop frame (moving frames shot by shot). The style of animation that I am going to speak about is stop frame. Stop frame is the series of single shots put together to create the feeling that an object or character is moving shot by shot. Today, there is a video of a trailer that is created through stop frame animation. Rilakkuma and Kaoru are a series where the style is done are performed frame by frame. To understand this show, we need to go over the character's history of Rilakkuma in San-X. San-X is the company that brought this stuffed bear to life and made it influential in the Japanese community. San-X launched this anime in its celebration of 15 years in the industry of making merchandise of cute characters as their primary focus. Rilakkuma and Kaoru follow the story of a bear randomly showing at Kaoru's doorsteps one day. Rilakkuma is a bear that is lazy and lounges around the apartment for most of the day. However, do not judge a book by its cover because Rilakkuma has more to offer than just stuffing and companionship. Kaoru explores the mystery of a bear who might actually be a human trapped in a bear's body. A very good lesson to take from this experience is that in life it matters on what is on the inside that counts, not the outside. By the way, if you are interested in Rilakkuma and Kaoru, then subscribe to Netflix to watch it on April 19, 2019. Also, check out a special insight of Rilakkuma exercising in a recent trailer on the last website below.

Important Notice: [SPOILERS] Unanswered Questions for the first Avatar series
Avatar and Its Unresolved Questions
Today, the blog is going to be a series that is heavily influenced by anime but is an animation made in the Western Hemisphere. The storyline revolved around a boy named Aung being the last member of his tribe. Yes, the series is Avatar: The Last Airbender and is a great collaboration of Japanese and American cultures mixed. It is a series that we call an anime-inspired animated show. The source material is similar to graphic novels. My favorite aspects of the show are the bending of the four elements and martial arts inspired fighting style. Just as the show has many marvels, it also has many unanswered questions throughout the show. In the beginning episodes, there is an alarming question of how a nation is able to transverse a high mountain range without accessibility to airships. Also, one of the elemental based tribes are divided into three separate entities and are still considered the same tribe. Fighting is almost always done hand to hand except when a nation decides to use fighting machines to invade its enemy. If there are events that boost someone's bending potential, then why is there is an event that seems like an oxymoron if the source is the opposite of their element. Finally, probably one of the biggest questions concerning avatar is the interpretation of “We will be together for all of your lifetimes.” This quote is confusing because past memories of other lifetimes seem very complicated to understand with little reference material to the quote. I hope that this blog did justice for the very large fanbase of Avatar with minimal spoilers. For more interesting unanswered questions, read the article provided by Hannah Collins from Screenrant.

Characters and Public Reaction To Them
The Hated Characters Mention in the post might contain minor spoilers to their background as a character.

The characters shown are Prime Minister Honest, Malty Melromarc, Nobuyuki Sugou, Shou Tucker, Danzō Shimura, and Makoto Itou. Prime Minister Honest is a character who is from Akame Ga Kill! and is the evil de-facto ruler of the Empire. Malty Melromarc is from The Rising of the Shield Hero and is always scheming for her selfish goals. Nobuyuki Suhou is from Sword Art Online and literally will do anything to acheive his insane goals. 2019 Starting Off Great
The 2019 anime season so far has been a hit of current and new anime. 2019 has seen many popular additions of new anime like That Time That I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or even my favorite The Rising of the Shield Hero. These two animes are not the only ones to have adaptations of an animated series. What I am going to talk about today is IGN's opinion on the best 2019 anime so far? Just so you know, the information provided in today's post is from IGN staff's perspective of 2019. I am going to take this a step further by trying to discuss the recommended series suggested by IGN. The four shows in mentioned are Mob Psycho II, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, Run With the Wind, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime. Mob Pyscho II leads off with Shigeo Kageyama coming back and literally being a force to be reckoned with. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind follows the adventures of Haruno Shiobana and yet JoJo still makes an appearance in the series. Run With the Wind has the character of Kiyose Haiji who is a runner trying to follow his dream in the sport he loves. As the name suggests in That Time That I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, a slime gets reincarnated in a new world and has to adapt to his new circumstances in an unknown realm. I hope I gave a glimpse into these shows and the basic situation involved. Also, read the rest of the article from IGN about other 2019 anime and their further explanations on the shows.

Ultraman Taking On A New Image
Ultraman is a series that has many reboots and lasted for over fifty years. The new version of the series is the Netlfix Original of Ultraman. It takes place after the 1966 Ultraman series and provides story from where they left off from in 1966. Netflix is offically launching the new episodes this week and adding it to its rank of content. Ultraman explores the recent adaptation of the manga which was release in 2012. Apparently, there is new aliens trying to destroy Earth and the son of Ultraman is the hero to do just that. Shinjiro Hayata gets passed the torch of his father's former glory of being Ultraman. He puts on the metallic ultra-suit and gets ready in combat in the first episode. Hayata would soon get a chance encounter with his father's organization of Science Special Search Party (SSSP), also known as the Science Patrol. In the original Ultraman, Science Patrol's job is to investigate bizarre anomalies and even sometimes protect citizens in case of a kaiju attack. Kaijus are Japanese giant monsters like Godzilla who will attack major cities and will either face with the government or other kaijus. I guess that you can say that Science Patrol is similar to the Japanese Self-Defense Forces fighting giant kaijus. Just so you know, the kaiju discussion is only present in 1966 version and the relaunch focuses on a human-sized Ultraman suit. The relaunch contains new visuals and throwbacks to some of the original characters of the 1966's version. The fight sequences of Ultraman focus more on the streets and close hand-to-hand combat like martial arts. Also, SyFy Wire takes a more in depth approach to the Ultraman Franchise. They explain the specifics of Ultraman by guiding the readers in contrast over the 1966 and the 2019 versions of Ultraman. I do have to say if you click below and read the article be prepared for mild spoilers for the show.

Does Someone's Voice Match A Character?
Voice actors have a great impact on how the reaction of an anime goes. The impact is observed through how the voice matches the character and what they represent in the story. Sometimes, voice acting is considered to be easy from the viewpoint of people who have no experience in the industry. Applying a voice to a someone on an animated screen is a task that requires paying attention to detail and understanding the origin of person in the series. A person in this field of work needs to continue on working and perfecting a character that delivers justice to the creators or directors vision. There is a very few people who can just wing it and expect to do really well in the characterization process. Taking the time to practice and to do your research is essential for a 2D figure to come alive off the screen. Personally, I think a great voice actor is someone who focuses on the settle things of a character like matching the voice with the age or personality. Actually, the talent behind mastering a original voice for a character could drive the narrative of anime series and even a radio show. Fun fact, some voice actors get paid to breathe like Sean Kenin got hired to mimic the sound of grunting in Tower Heist.
Overwatch Fans Desiring an Anime
Overwatch is a game series that is online and is mainly a multiplayer shooting game. The game has a rooster of 30 characters and is still growing in characters called heroes. It has many nominations for game of the year awards and is depicted to be one of the greatest games ever to some. Actually, the post today is about how the game has an interesting lore. Overwatch has made shorts of animated clips and stories showing the origins of various characters. These shorts get so popular that fans want them to be source material for an actual anime. There is a huge following of the anime idea for Overwatch that a fan submitted an Overwatch AMV. The video was uploaded on the Overwatch Reddit page by noobplaysnewpc and got hundreds of likes for the video. I think the video is really well made and the song complements the animated shorts like it belongs to the video. The song's arrangement is smooth and drives the narrative of what the heroes are facing in Overwatch. Finally, Eli Becht from Dexerto goes in saying that “For some strange reason, the music works very well with the animation and now we want to see full episodes produced.” Will Eli Becht's wish ever come true for an Overwatch anime? Watch the song on the site below or go to the Overwatch Reddit page under Anime OP for the Overwatch Animated Shorts. *ChouCho for the original video.

Clubs Celebrating Anime
Today, the post is about hanging with friends and having engaging activities that are anime related. According to Henderson who was quoted by Duluth News Tribune, “It's really their club, not mine.” Having the ability to reflect on what people might want is key to any club or specifically anime club. A club is based on the interests of the members and without their engagement, the club is doomed to fail. It takes a continuous flow of ideas to keep an anime club going. The life of an anime fan is full of many ways to enjoy its entertainment, for example, games are a popular medium to exercise anime knowledge. Games give people a more interactive method to be socially involved but also strike a chord in those to have fun. I can contest as the planner of my anime club that planning activity is a situation that might not come easy all of the time. I had to learn that the suggestions from the members are so important because their input could yield successful results in the future. It is necessary to have the right amount of new ideas and old to create a club that delivers on anime activities. Thank you for reading and here is the link for a library club connecting to teens through anime. They are very successful in being innovative and creative for their fanbase. Plus, check out ReynoCon which is an anime convention hosted by the Reynolds Anime Club. Also, the FaceBook event is created of ReynoCon below.
