Food is good
I eat the healthy kind
That is, I eat the healthy kind after running out of the junky kind
I have a sweet tooth
That is probably an old phrase
But yeah, I eat healthy a lot (& vegetarian always)
I think everyone should eat vegetarian and when the subject of food comes up, I tell them so (bc unless they are vegan, I am right and they are wrong) haha
It's 1:35 AM and I can't sleep
Speaking of insomnia (which this isn't), I just finished reading Fight Club and the book was nowhere as good as the movie, I just say
Nowhere near as good
These blog posts that I am writing to ight is my tribute to all the people out there who are productive on a daily basis instead of someone like me who leaves Twitter and decides to fidget with a keyboard for hours on-end bc they have to occupy time somehow.
Tomorrow morning I have class and that will actually be productive. That is good.
In the meantime am just going to sit here and hammer out words w/ no end in sight.
Panic! At the Disco is a weird band. They sound like a synthy version of Falling In Reverse.
1:10 AM, btw
Sighhhhhhhhh
Yay! All-American Rejects
A band that has disappeared
“Move Along” is the song playing. idk WTF happened to these guys. They have that song “Give You Hell” (I think it was called) that was super good, too.
I have listened to so much Flyleaf lately (on Paramore radio) that I think I met my quota for 2018-forever. I don't like how poignant the voice of the lead vocals are. It is t terrible music, but I can only listen to so much of it.
- They don't play enough Paramore on this station
When it isn't FL, it is some 90's music. I guess that is OK but, what do 90's bands have to do with Paramore?
And why does Hayley Williams follow Jesus? I can ask that about anyone who decides to follow fairy tales, but, Hayley seems so gd cool, it's like: “what's punk about Christianity?” SPOILER: nothing! Maybe she just doesn't like to think a lot or was brainwashed from a young age or thinks heaven is super dope?
I was (almost) brainwashed from 1st-4th grade when I went to a Catholic school and had to go to church three times a week (Mon+Fri+Sun). I didn't get brainwashed though bc I listened to a lot of heavy metal (and KSHE! #rock!) so I decided atheism and freedom was a lot better than bruising my knees on banisters or whateverthefuck we were always kneeling on, and reading a book about a guy getting killed.
Atheism has no book. No church. No story. No star. No nothing. Just a belief (for me anyway) in science and education and truth. I heard recently about a thing Christopher Hitchens (RIP) was into called “New Atheism” and I haven't looked I to it yet, but there is no guarantee that I will look I to it because it sounds like some sort of pseudo belief system where there is some lock-step set of principles.
I just want to be left alone.
Back to Pandora. Paramore radio.
Staind is on right now
The song is “Right Here” and I have heard it in a v long time and it is v good.
Fuck I'm bored
me thinks i am just going to get my phone # routed over to this Samsung phone i have (flip phone). I am not leaving the internet (as of yet), but i am looking at Cricket hotspot devices and i think i will buy one ($18, not bad) and just use it for home connectivity on the RPi. I will have to go to a Verizon store to get my current # routed to the Samsung flip phone (it uses Verizon) & that should be no problem. i even think a Verizon store is not far from here.
too bad the Siempo phone failed
i mean the launcher is now in the Play Store, but the phone itself failed on KickStarter. I followed the story all the ay back from 2015 when it was a completely different concept. After a while it more or less became just another slab, glass smartphone. I like the LightPhone a lot (now in version 2). Seems to be a good fit for me (I need the ability to text as that is how a lot of my family communicate the majority of the time). I need to work on getting a mobile hotspot for my apartment. This would free me up from having to have a smartphone for...anything.
brb
mmm, mashed spuds
w/ butter & milk. fucking epic. (granted they were “instant” spuds, but they hit the spot nonetheless.
I have Gmail for exactly one reason....
...to check when this publication gets back to me about publishing a short fiction I submitted. When I followed up, they said when they go through their submission in early April (for their May issue) they would let me know if it is a Go or No Go then. After this, I am probably deleting my Gmail. Once and for all. I truly have no use for it other than using it for a dumping ground for all of the newsletters I have signed up for. I can even use this phone w/o Gmail (bc I use Web apps for everything). Though, things would be MUCH easier if I were on another mobile platform than Android. I have covered this before, but, yeah. I need to make the switch.
Idegaf if it we're to go to iOS (though that is completely overkill for what I use a phone for, tbh).
Anyhoo, be back in a bit!
I figured out the URL issue I was having...
...I just didn't figure it out for this blog. I stead I routed “oleary.io” to carrd.co (cause I have a Premium membership over there, as well).
Now I am sortof kicking back and watching YT. I got nothing better to do tonight so I will more than likely make a million offline diary entries and prepare myself (though I am really already prepared) for tomorrow's e-course.
I know I will be up late afternoon tonight, but, that's how it goes.
