coffee

idk if i am going to get through the Lecture tonight???

i mean i might but i am so exhausted from a full day that i may turn in early. And just as i say that; i feel another craving for #coffee coming on. idk. stay tuned.

multitask(ing is a false illusion)

i did a lot of shit in a short period of time just now. I d/l'd Google Hangouts on Chrome (which i will use as a stand-alone #app, ignore Chrome itself), i d/l'd ALL of the “shorts” videos for Week 1 of #CS50x so i can have them for offline viewing and not have to worry about a #data connection, and then i put each video in the Week 1 folder here on desktop. The Master Folder is called, you guessed it, CS50x(!) and it is going on the flash drive when the course is over (bc it probz takes up hella space on my SSD).

i am gonna try to BS every so often w/ my brother-in-law on Hangouts but he has a “serious” job now so i don't think he is going to be able to talk during the day. NBD.

Third cuppa #coffee: BREWING!

the sun is setting

which means it about #Scratch2 time. First, I have to finish the dishes + put some #coffee on, and then I can begin. It is a nice little beginning of a sunset, but I wouldn't quite call it dusk yet.

Anyway, nice night. I feel good.

#homesweethome

I made it back after I had an incredible #therapy session! Really a lot of progress, I think. Also got some cashola for #coffee that I am going to be drinking tf out of tonight (bc caffeine effin' rules!).

And tomorrow: Scratch 2 sprite time. I am going to brainstorm a little interactive animation and program that little bad boy into existence and finish up Week 0 within one week and finish strong. I submit through GitHub and I already created an acct on there before I even signed up for the class. Having fun w/ all of it :))))

Still no word as far as the loan discharge goes but I am really hoping that it happens within the next 10 days so there are no hang-ups in terms of getting everything rolling for FAFSA in Fall 2018 at STLCC.

Here's hoping.

Hello

I am typing this on a Saumsung Galaxy Tab A. It is a fab tablet, let me tell you. Several years ago, people used to call these “tablet PC's” and i see where they were coming from because that is basically what this is, a mini-PC. I am also having #coffee after hanging out at the 'rents for a bit, and am feeling quite good.

More later...

Stairs Hate Me

I went up and down a flight of stairs several times in a row earlier today to remove garbage from my apartment and the mini-workout fucking killed my back! I was already shaky and had my heart pounding out of my chest from two Monster + a cup of #coffee and then then stairs COMPLETELY took it out of me. Sucks. I have recovered now and offed the rest of the mangos and am feeling much better. Thank you.

Now, i am waiting for this small rainstorm to arrive so it can cool things off so i can walk to the store and get more “durable/longer-lasting” foodskee for the house. The stuff i have now will last, but there are a few other things i need.

Anyway, be back in a bit!

Oh one more thing; I have been looking for a GOOD wool sweater for the winter as i plan on having just one instead of several like i have now, and i found a co called “Varg” (cool name) that is Scandinavian w/ the sickest shirt i have ever seen! It costs $175 but i will (eventually) invest in it because it will be the sole longsleeve i own when the weather gets cooler. I will forgo the Under Armour bit, and just stick w/ actual shirts (or, shirt, singular) for winter time. + the M-65 military coat, of course.

good morning then

i started (am starting) the day with #coffee and Noam Chomsky videos. Call me a hipster, i don't care. The video I was looking for was the one where he criticised French philosophers (not the “pros” who study classic philosophy but the super-modern ones). I started searching for that video after I thought of Nietzsche and just how damn much I Hated his book “Why I Am So Wise”. I didn't understand the majority of it not because Nietzsche is “so damn wise” but because a lot of it is neurotic, if not psychotic, gibberish. A lot of modern French philosophy is this way. I don't care for it, to be honest.

But there was one French “philosopher” (or just modern-day pseudo-intellectual) in particular he was criticising in this video and I wanted to find out his name because I wanted to look him up to see what kind of shit he was saying about recent events in the world (this video I watched about him previously was from 2011).

I, myself, am in no way any type of philosopher but am definitely a fan of the subject of the classics (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, many others). Which reminds me, I have to check out “A Brief History Of Thought” by a France-based Doctor of Philosophy professor Luc Ferry, who is an excellent scholar of the classical philosophers (and still has to deal with all the pseudo-philosophers in modern-day France as well, i am sure). I think i am 80 or so pages into that book and I want to pick up where I left off. However, I have 497 more pages of “On War” to get through before I start reading another book. Two books at the same time have never worked out for me.

Anyway, be back in a bit!
