Spending the day zombiefied, as expected. When the sinuses from Hell woke me at 06:00 I knew there was a decision to make: Should I try to make it through the day ahead suffering all the symptoms (headaches, vertigo, sore throat, watery eyes, drippy nose, etc.) those sinuses hit me with; or should I mega-dose the allergy meds, allowing me to return to a restful, recuperative sleep, but forcing me to spend most of the day ahead in a zombiefied though allergy-free state? I chose the second option.

I mentioned a few days ago that an old friend had been hospitalized with Covid. Word came this morning that he's passed away. Jose was one of my oldest friends in San Antonio, and a very long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. He will be sorely missed.
