Enjoying a relaxing, stress-free Sunday. Having gone to evening Mass yesterday, I was able to stay home this morning and avoid going out in the rainy cold. Planning to take Sylvia out to a movie this afternoon. This'll be the first we've seen one in a theater since... sometime before Covid.

A pretty good Saturday is winding down. I was productive enough on a number of fronts, and resisted the temptation to over do. If I can go to sleep without any excessive worries, maybe I can have better blood pressure numbers tomorrow morning. That'd be nice.

And right on schedule, the eyelids get heavy, the brain slows noticeably, and I know without a doubt that it's time to start shutting things down. Doors are all locked, front porch light is on for the wife when she gets home from Bingo, time now to brew up a cup of sleepy time tea. Bet I'll be in bed within the hour.

We appear to have been adopted by a medium sized brown dog who loves to hang out in our back yard. Considering what to do. I set out some water for him this morning. Wife wants to pick up some dog food. Says he looks skinny. Oh my. Don't know where this is going to lead.

Comms all day long with various KofC Officers about a number of topics. Busy, busy, and brain-tired. Lots of mold pollen in the air today and that's been making me semi-ill. But the adventure continues. Tomorrow will be long with an evening meeting that may run late. So a good night's sleep will be most appreciated. Hope it happens.

Tired and sore, as I should be, all things considered. Sore from all the marching and Honor Guard work Sunday afternoon, and tired from all the work accomplished today. It was good work and productive, but tiring. Looking forward to a good night's sleep. Hoping Mr. Sandman cooperates.

By any measure, this has been a very good day. Spent a long afternoon doing KofC Honor Guard work with friends I see too seldom. Tired now, but it's a satisfied kind of tired.

Have made peace (sort of) with the different elements of the new car project. At least I'm not as stressed as I was yesterday late afternoon and evening, last night, and this morning. It will probably take most of this summer before everything has settled, and I just have to accept that.
Thank God I have a structured prayer life to keep me grounded, my ongoing Correspondence Chess games, and MLB TV to provide daily relaxing mental activity to keep me from going bonkers.
