One of the most frustrating Fridays of my life! Spent the entire afternoon waiting in line at the BMV, only to get a disappointing answer re: our situation; getting a similar disappointing answer at a Title company; and waiting in line again at a County Tax office, only to get the same disappointing answer.
In happier news, I'm listening to the Rangers beating the Astros in tonight's MLB Game. There is that.

So, Thursday. What can I say? Handled three big chores rather well, only one of which was scheduled for today. The other two are actually parts of a larger chore which will be wrapped up tomorrow, God willing.

I'm satisfied with the amount of work I've accomplished this mornig: posted a Turnout notice to my Assembly's Google Group, and mowed the front yard. Hopefully I'll be able to get a good amount of work done in the back yard this afternoon. We'll see.

Have got relaxing instrumental music playing while I move mechanically through chores: loading weekly pill boxes, starting my weekly laundry, etc. Trying to stay calm and not worry needlessly about little things.

Late afternoon Monday and 2 of the day's 3 chores are now complete: I've reserved the party room for my Assembly's Installation Ceremony in June, and I've determined that the water leak out front comes my neighbor's pipes, not mine. Good for me, bummer for her. 3rd chore will be attending my KofC Council meeting tonight. That'll be a breeze.

Enjoying a peaceful, quiet Easter Sunday at home. And it has been quietly productive, too. I built a KofC Easter Card graphic and sent it out to my Assembly and other Sir Knights I know. It got a good response. Ate a bowl of delicious home made beef stew that Sylvia cooked: perfect for this cool, damp day. It's incredible how much more relaxed and comfortable my online life is after cancelling my Twitter account.

Here's a “strange but true” story. I've had good (for me) long sleeps the last several nights running. And these have followed days where I've drunk TWO pots of coffee rather than my usual one pot per day. And my night time reading each of these nights before I put head to pillow has been from the collected works of H.P. Lovecraft. Not that I'd recommend that to anyone, but... there it is.

All things considered, this has been a pretty good Friday. Didn't make it to Mass yesterday or today. Cold, rainy weather and old man health issues. But I did accomplish a lot of good Knights of Columbus work: so there is that. Spent more money today than I'd planned, but I'm still safely inside the budget. And I've slept well the last few nights. Hopefully that trend will continue. We shall see.

Accomplished what I consider a pretty major chore today. And yes, I feel pretty good about that. Arranged for my Assembly's By-Laws to be fully approved. After 7 years, it's about darned time.
