So here I was, about to post on what a nice, quiet day this Sunday has been when my next door neighbor showed me a big “puddle” that had mysteriously appeared between our two front yards. And our water meters by the curb, which are next to each other, are both flooded. And water is leaking out into the street. /sigh. It's always something. I'll make some phone calls tomorrow morning.

Rather pleased with all I accomplished today; that mountain of paperwork back in my room is smaller now, and much better orghanized. Replaced some bulbs in the overhead light, so it's much lighter back there now.

The one major chore I was going to handle today? Decided to reschedule it for next Monday or Tuesday afternoon. This Friday was another relax & recovery day. And it was another day for me to reorient my mind toward the quieter life-style I'll be living when I give up my officer's position with the 4th degree Knights.

After a busy start to this week, I assigned myself only one major chore today, and I accomplished that by mid-morning. Tomorrow may have only one chore of significanmce, too. These semi-rest days are needed. And appreciated.

When I woke this morning there were two problems facing me: my printer had stopped printing, and the arthritis in my hands was particularly bothersome.
After working most of the morning with my three computers and two printers, I still can't get the printers to print. And I'm wearing my arthritis gloves again for the 1st time in a long time. At least my hands are working better now.

Well, Crap! My main printer stopped working earlier this even as I was trying to print copies of the Assembly Newsletter for tonight's Council Meeting. I'll work with it tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it working again.

Have moved from the front room where I followed NCAA basketball and PGA Golf this afternoon to my room where I'll be listening to the Superbowl game in a little over an hour. Nope, not gonna watch it on TV and I'm not gonna watch any of the pregame hooplah. All I want is the football game.

Decision made. I'm staying home today. Checking the work I did yesterday and this morning, I've found too many errors. Making corrections was quick and easy. No harm was done. But I don't want to embarrass myself or anyone else by making foolish mistakes in discussions which would most likely take place this evening at Church. So... staying home and laying low until the quality of my performance stabilizes at an acceptable level seems only prudent.

Expecting a good Friday. Had a good night's sleep, woke to my 1st alarm. Expecting Sylvia to take me out for lunch, will drop off supplies for the weekend's KofC breakfast later today, and planning one Google Group post to put up after lunch. And that's enough.
