Oh here’s another one for you. Goodnight.

Growing up in a developing country, while reading a lot, you could see for yourself how fast things changed and make sense of it.

As my parents met on a train, instead of your typical arranged marriages, they've already done their part for globalization. But I always count on how I communicate with my grandparents living in the Northwest.

In elementary, once a week, my mom would carry me to the night shifts to help scare the hospital ghosts. There, I would write a letter to the family from my mom's side. Every few years, my parents would carry either me or my sister to visit them. But only one of us could go, because the motorbike could only carry 3. It took more than a day on the road.

The road got a lot better and we could afford a car when I was in junior high. We visited them more often and it took a lot less time to get there.

As my grandpa got sick a lot before he passed away last year, my parents constantly went back and forth. They are visiting my grandma today and it took less than 6 hours.

But I remember back then, there were a lot of fireflies behind the house next to the hill. And we would stay there much longer each time.

Extremely paranoid people can look like visionaries because they have a lifetime of practicing building convincing narratives, just about almost everything. And they really believe it too, making it even more convincing.

And while having a general ideological guideline is not all that bad. Like how capitalism, or even socialism, in theory, is not bad. But in practice, you have to count for the elements of human characteristics.

This is the problem with paranoid founders. They initially come up with good ideas out of their own “giftedness”. But when the idea session is over, they will have to face the reality of humanness. Which they often know very little about. Because their “giftedness” comes from denying human traits.

Hihi. See you soon.

Of course I used to really like astrology so my mind wasn't all there either. I am a Capricorn.

All self-proclaimed body language experts I know in real life, turn out, in fact, are really great at noticing body movements, even the slightest one. Only the downside is they have very little to no access to the mind. Not just the minds of people they record every movement of, but their own.

Apparently when you don't care for people you don't like, and keep the ones that you trust, you don't have to read their body language just to survive. Not that it would ever improve or become true when you do.

The question is, people who practice that kind of rationalization, what do they do that for?

The advantage of being great at rationalization and being paranoid is, you can choose whatever option that benefits you the most at that moment, then pick the evidence later. And there are theories for everything. If you take advantage of someone, that's because their body language says they betray you first therefore you just do what's needed to protect yourself. You are not a bad person!

Being paranoid and rationalization go together, because you will always need to reassure yourself that you are not paranoid. But then it doesn't reflect true reality. Something makes sense at the moment, will contradict later with further evidence. So it's a constant denial of reality where feeling is put above anything fact, just so they don't have to face contradictions.

You are all body language experts now but wait till season 3 Making a Murderer comes out and you will protest for no reason again.

Asian hip-hop was rarely about drugs or having questionable alternative romantic lifestyles. Mostly about wearing baggy clothes and being highly opinionated, living in a culture that condemned both of those things. We were still supposed to be deeply committed in serious relationships and higher education.

Gute nacht, Einen Fuß Drei Zoll.
