Writing before you learn “social skills” is great. Also after you learn to undo all those “skills” successfully. What makes writing in your 20s cringe is you try to be yourself while aware of all the stereotypes, social norms others can misinterpret what you write. So you feel the need to cover all bases and it simply doesn't work.

Don't know what humility elsewhere is, but they called me arrogant since 8th grade. Probably all those times they said “You're great” they hoped I say back “You're better”.

Another reason to deny greed is, moralizing themselves to behave in a way that benefits them in certain environments that encourage superficial moral rules and submission.

A certain group of people who practice denying greed daily would be surprised that half of their comrades might not as poor as the rest of them. Because there are different reasons for one to deny greed. – Rationalize that you don't like something because you can't afford it, to feel better about yourself. – Reaction formation because you are already financially exploitative to others and don't want to admit guilt. The latter has more reasons and resources to be the head of a movement, a non-profit organization, and who executes their comrades after revolutions.

Behaviorists are very lame because they find out arrogance is bad but they can't tell you what humility is. Ask them again, and they would probably describe a set of behaviors their parents taught them 20 years ago.

Pleasant people don't need to have a sticky note in their mind “Be humble!”. If you have a relatively healthy sense of self, it shouldn't be too hard to accept new information and adjust your worldview accordingly. For a normal disagreement is not a threat to your own value.

People who are obsessed over their humbleness are often critical of others as well. But they only look at people through the set of behaviors they learned from their parents or from the books they read while ignoring the individual themselves.

We only had the dog. He loved me more than the three of them combined.

Off to a new adventure with my tutor.

I used to cry a lot as a kid. Often while doing homework. But wasn't because of the homework. I was just both busy and having something else to be sad about.

Feel nostalgic today.

Before school sucked the fun out of history, like it did with everything else, I used to buy a lot of history comic books. They have quizzes and puzzles on the back as well. Also I learned to make better salt coffee than coffee shops now.
