So one of the hallmarks of narcissism is grandiose fantasy that doesn't correspond to reality.

You might think “Wait, don't those people have a lot of shame to carry already? Why push themselves even further to the edge?”

But the problem with realistic plans is you have to deal with realistic expectations of yourself. But bad plans can always be the fault of the abstracts, the banking system, the military industry, the capitalism, the human nature.

The goal is not to make the fantasy become reality. The goal is to escape reality.

The problem with behaviorists is sometimes they are extremely helpful with shortcut lists of behaviors that we could learn to recognize easily, though would results in more errors. The problem with me is I can’t remember lists. So understanding the mechanism of how those questionable people think is way easier for me.

Now I can't drink. But I can have an avocado shake or a cup of milk. See you again soon.

Oh I'm sorry I can't tell the difference between an academic researcher building their career on a political trend and a designer building their career on astrology Tshirts running on facebook birthday data collection ads. Except the latter is a lot less smug and a little more self-aware.

It's not even about being ethical. Just not a sustainable business model. When you offer a little real value on the knowledge or the appeal, normally the career ends when everyone knows it's an easy gig and makes the market oversaturated. And also when the audience gets mad because they find out both the political trend and the data collection are bad for them. Again, none of us can afford too much ethics. But if you really know what you are doing, you find an exit plan before the trend is over.

Activists have no shame calling themselves hyper empathetic, but freak out when anyone says their autism is superpower for their ability to do computer stuff. Because they want to live off others’ pity, instead of getting paid for doing something actually useful. Oh also they would like you not work too hard and wait for their revolution.

In reality, being autistic and fully analytical is the most attractive of all. You have a bunch of interesting hobbies, both with computer and without it, baking, writing, playing instruments 🎸. And you get rid of the least attractive trait possible in a person too – being socially agreeable.

Analysts embarrass themselves every time they try to apply neutrality to real world instead of a closed confined room with a contract in their hand. The reason neighbors were willing to turn on each other during communist revolution was because the alternative would be civil war funded by foreign. Surprisingly people don’t worry much about being politically opinionated over being dead.

I don't know if feminists have solved the case of why boys go to STEM instead of following their dream to become a poet yet.

Children of less advantaged families learn the “scraping by” theory rather soon. They don't complain about capitalism, not because it's a fair system, but because despite all the other disadvantages, they can still compete through resilience and hard work, those things they only have to rely on themselves. They love globalization, not because they don't want their talent to be paid fair compared to their global friends, or to be ridiculed for lowering the standard of the field. But to be paid at all, and today, not 10 years later when somehow things might just magically get better. They love technology innovation because it offers new opportunities where the barrier to entry is very very low. If that one fails, let's wait few more years for a new technology so you can start a business under 50 bucks again. Because adaptation is a learned skill. Again, there is very little margin for error. Simply because they can't afford luck.

Hehe. I just realized one thing.
