some of my thoughts and notes

On my way to Alicante, the number of people on road bikes increased dramatically.

It would be exaggerating to say that I saw more bicycles than cars, but it's an understatement to say that I saw at least 50.

And I thoroughly enjoyed driving slow or sometimes slower than them and watching them ride through tunnels and down curvy roads.

I really wanted to be on a bike rather than in a car.

From the perspective of a car driver, Valencia is much more relaxed than Barcelona.

As a kid, the first thing I remember I wanted to become when I grow up was an artist, or more specifically a painter.

Going out for lunch in Llançà is a funny experience. I've been told that today is a local holiday but I suspect that things aren't too different here on a regular Monday.

Sometimes I have to chuckle when I realize how many we are. Literally, there are thousands and thousands of us, all doing something, thinking something, feeling something. It's as if existence is inexhaustible.

In Llançà I walked past a cafeteria and thought about stopping to buy bread for tomorrow. But it looked pretty full and chaotic, so it took me a while to decide to go in.
