Crossfit again! Loyal followers of my channel already know that I am a member of the crossfit box in our town. And they also know that their logo is a yellow panther. I was asked to design their new long sleeves and tshirts. That was really exciting since it is the first time I was approached by people of my daily environment to dedicate my art skills to their project. The design itself was already finished weeks ago. But since the new clothing was revealed yesterday on our yearly Crossfit X-Mas Party I had to wait with my post. And here is the result! (I directly ordered some)
Hope you enjoyed!

What a car! I am not claiming to be neutral when it comes to cars nor am I trying to become a car channel. 245 hp. 370 Nm. A black rear spoiler which makes you look to the back half of the time you are driving. 19 inch wheels with black rims and red breaking saddles.
An aggressive looking front, which finally made the german term “Überhol-Prestige” clear. It means that the cars in front of you on the “Autobahn” (german highway with no tempo limit) see how fast you are approaching and quickly decide to switch lane to let you through. If you want to translate the word directly it'll be something like “overtaking-prestige”. And this car has a lot of it.
I know an influencer on Instagram. We made a shooting with this car. I will leave you the link to his page. There you can see the car from a lot of different perspectives and more cars! Link: nico_got_it
Of course I picked one of these photos to make a painting out of it. Here is the result:

These lessons are helpful if you don't want to make the same mistakes like me. The material guides you on what to buy if you are planning to make similar artwork. Stay tuned!
When I was younger I joined a Judo-Club in my home town. The name of the town was “Wulfen”. Many years I have been a member there, but since I work at a complete different place now a membership wasn't making sense anymore. Anyhow, I had a couple of awesome years there and made a lot of very good friends I am still in contact with.
One of those friends appoached me, cause she so the things I post (on Coil) and asked me, if I will create a mascot for them. They want to attract more children to join the Judo-Club.
The idea came quite fast: “Wulfen” is closely connected to the wolf. And since children were the targeted group I decided to make it cute.
And this is the result:
I also made a video which describes my thought process and results in this digital piece of art:
With strawberries! This picture is spilling with sweet and cute elements that would make every single glass of honey jealous. Here you see the fast forward video of the making-of.

The Iron Man. Kind of the front runner of the Avengers. Or at least one of the main strategists of the saviors of our world. I thought that is worth a portrait. Was hard to make him stand still, but here is the result: Ready to fire the rockets on his shoulders.
Did you know, that Iron Man had a total of 50 suits? Hulk Buster suit and so on included. I found this one quite appealing.
Compared to my drawing of Dead Pool an Iron Man suit is less complicated to draw. You mostly have polished metal so you rather have to deal with clean reflections than with giving the fabric a realistic structure. Still I had to fight with the mask a bit to get the color right.
I avoid poltical discussions. It's not that this area doesn't interest me. It does. A lot. And it affects our daily lives. But my experience tells me, that you should know your audience before you start talking about politics. Earlier I cared less. I talked about what ever crossed my mind. Often it turned out that after my lunch break I was more exhausted than before.
So this article is not about politics. Still this article shows a soldier of the US military. And this soldier is going to have his birthday soon.
He has some of his photos from way back when he was in Afghanistan with his platoon. And as far as I can imagine, this time at war left a huge impression on him.
But I also don't want to talk about friends he lost or how these hard times can make people stick together like no other although all this is true.
What impresses me is how dedicated a person has to be to put his own life on line for his conviction. His photo and now this piece of art is proof.
I launched this channel with very colorful art – abstracting into more simple forms to have an easy start with the new materials I use. This colorful art then got more and more realistic. I started out with my tombow double brush pens and figured out that they are very good for painting huge spaces with the same color. Detailed blending though is more difficult and so I changed using colored pencils. It's hard to cover huge surfaces with them but they are great for details. I am planning to make art pieces where I combine both.
The problem with both of these materials is, that once used it gets hard to make corrections. That is why I now turned towards digital art. You can undo everything here. So I was courageous enough to start out with a portrait of an actual person. The endgame will be to do hyper realistic pictures out of the digital realm. We'll see if I get there.
Yoshitaka Kitao is the CEO of SBI: A banking consortium of 61 banks in Japan.
The reason why I picked Yoshitaka Kitao is, because this person seems to be so visionary but also follows a plan to put all visions into reality. I work in a huge company where a lot of different brands have to work together. And day by day I realize how big of an act it is to get all different business perspectives, political and private interests and the agendas behind aligned to get the best result for the whole group. The more impressive it is, that already half of his consortium is planning to employ XRP.
Moreover Yoshitaka Kitao played an important role in getting Ripple and R3 work together (again) after the two companies separated from working together over a legal dispute.
And just this summer SBI Virtual Currencies got launched to support safe trading of digital assets and more crypto adoption.
It is an inspiration to me how much grit and perseverance this person has. And that was the reason for this painting.
I live in Ingolstadt. It is an average city in Germany somewhere between Nuremberg and Munich. And I like doing sports. In the past I was in a table tennis club, a judo club and now I am doing crossfit in Ingolstadt.
History Lesson!
This is the city coat of arms:
(source: Decon-dresden.de)
It looks a lot like a Dragon. But believe me, it is a panther. And the city uses the panther as a symbol since 1294.
Now, this was the inspiration for the crossfit club (we call it box).
And this is their symbol:

Inside the box is a huge wall and we were thinking about ideas what to put on that wall. So I thought about my own version of that logo. And this is how it all turned out:
The wall I am talking about is huge. I'd like to see a giant panther overlooking us all doing crossfit. We will see if that happens!
Sorry, folks- no video this time about how I made this. That's because I made this drawing / painting before I started this channel and before I had the idea of recording my pieces.
I am on vacation right now but I didn't want to post nothing so I thought about releasing some of my older artworks.
I really like this concept car which is called “Prologue”. The idea behind it was, that it introduces a new era of design at AUDI. And you can see elements which have been derived for the A7 and A8. I just saw a picture of this car hanging on a wall and thought, that I needed to draw this. The two words that describe this design the best is “progressive elegance”. I hope you like it the same way I do.
