This one is about my art. Everything that can be done on a blank background will find it‘s way here. Stay tuned!

Hello all!

Time for the next video where I am improving my skills on painting landscapes. We will start out in grayscale and the next video will be about turning these pictures into colorful postcards.

I will guide you through the process and tell you about the tools I used.

All my former pictures were with few to no background. But a proper background is so important for setting the atmosphere and for telling the story. Therefore it is essential to get these things right. This video will help you achieve that:

Hope you were able to take some new insights out of this video.

I see you in the next one!

Welcome back to another article here on Coil where I present my latest art pieces. This time we are going to use digital media and create an asian themed picture. You can already see in the header that we are drawing a geisha. But I wanted to make something special about her. A geisha normally is a cultivated, controlled and conservative person. With her facial expression I create a clear break to her nature. This is supported be the red color as a strong contrast to the greys. In the video you will see the whole process starting from a pencil sketch until the finishing touches of the flying cherry blossoms around her. Enjoy watching it!

By the way: Here is the Link to my NFT auction!

Greetings everybody! It is time for the next digital painting video. And this time we are changing the galaxy. We will dive into the universe of “The Mandalorian”. One of the most iconic spin-offs within the Star Wars Story. I will take you the whole way starting at a white canvas and working my way through outlining Mando, shading, coloring and creating the background. It took 92 seperate videos and around 40 hours of work to finish this. So put on the seatbelt of your Razorcrest and be guided be the force!

Welcome back to another article on Coil!

We will continue our journey into digital art and deepen our knowledge about different brushes and textures. As a reference I used a photography of a gorilla, but as I always say, copying should not be the goal here. It is more about understanding the anatomy, the perspective (foreshortening included!) and the lighting. Glad to have you on board, so let's roll!

This piece is just one step on my way of mastering art. I often change the media and I want to be able to create different styles of art pieces. Follow me on my journey here on Coil, Cinnamon and on Twitter: https://twitter.com/KassjanS.

Hey folks, welcome back to another article where I show you how I approach my style of art. This is the third and last part of the Gym Logo series and here we are getting a little side tracked: The logo already has been finished, client is happy and case is closed. But I really wanted to make digital paintings out of some of my sketches so here we go. In the video you will be able to follow my steps until the finished version you see up above. Without any further ado – let's jam!

Welcome back to part 2 of the Gym Logo series. In part 1 we finalized our preferred sketch. Now it is time to turn it into a digital format to be able to make it printable through a plotter. I will tell you about the challenges I faced and the techniques I used to achive my desired look and feel. I was a little experimental with the brushes and am really happy with the result. So let's go and check it out!

Hello there!

I recently got a commissioned work to do and I really like the topic of the project! I am supposed to create a logo for a personal home gym. The desired theme here is “Fisherman's Strength”. As you've already seen in the title this commisssioned work will consist of several parts. I will guide you through the process of first understanding what the customer wants. Bring that to paper and to touch base again with the client to find out if it is going into the right direction. Once the right sketch is found it goes digital – this will be shown in the second part which will soon come! The third video is about me getting a little sidetracked, since I really also liked another sketch. That is why I made a digital painting out of that, too.

Enough said! Let's jump into the video! Or should I rather say videos? You heard right. This article has three videos because it took me three sketches to hit the nail on the head. Never give up and lend these videos your ear.

Hi, guys welcome back to another video of art and creativity. Today we are going to design a bike wheel. This can be put in the same category like my video Polygon Art #1.

Seems like my client was happy with the work I did before. Therefore he gave me another wheel to design. I used different equipment and faced different challenges. You will find out more in my video. Check it out!

In the subscription content you will find out which materials I used. Hope to see you there!

Welcome back to another anatomy video on this channel. In this blog post you will be able to watch me drawing legs from different perspectives. You will see the improvements with every single drawing. One important lesson for example was to apply different line thicknesses for specific lines (thick lines for outlines, rapid plane changes).

I will provide you with a real time session of three leg drawings and a second video where things are sped up and you can hear me commenting on how I approach leg drawings.
