30-Day Coil Blogging Challenge Starts Today!
Today is the day, folks.
The 30-Day Coil Blogging Challenge has officially begun.
Everyone is welcome to participate no matter how long you have been using Coil. In fact, even if you have never heard of the platform until just now, feel free to join in on the challenge.
Why 30 Days?
The entire mission behind this challenge is to make blogging habitual. They say that on average, a habit takes 21 days to form properly in the brain before a particular action becomes routine.
We are taking it a step further and truly solidifying this habit by going a full 30 days. By the end of the challenge, consistent content creation should no longer be an issue for you.
How the Challenge Works
Please read the below rules / guidelines to this challenge. In order to qualify to win a prize, you must follow each of the items below.
1. A blog per day
Each participant will publish 1 blog per day on his or her Coil.com page for 30 days straight , ending on Oct. 16, 2019.
2. Shared on social
Each post must be shared to at least 1 social platform for visibility, preferably Twitter so that the XRP community can like, comment, and share your content.
3. Topics of interest
Posts should be on the topic of your choosing, preferably one that you are interested in so that writing becomes fun.
4. Word length
There is no word length requirement, just aim at making it a quality post that people can enjoy reading.
5. Daily support

Tips for completing the challenge
Brainstorming
Coming up with ideas for blogs each day can be one of the most tedious and time consuming aspects of the content creation process.
One way to be proactive and avoid this headache is to take about 30 minutes to brainstorm topic ideas on a piece of paper or a notes app on your device.
A great free resource that I like to use is called Evernote. Create a notebook just for the challenge and enter notes with any and all ideas that you come up with.
Planning / scheduling
Once you have utilized your brainstorming session, now it's time to organize those ideas into specific, workable spaces. A great free resource that I use is called Trello.
Trello allows you to organize your content through boards, lists, and cards. Create a board called Coil Blogging Challenge, then separate your topic ideas into lists.
After your lists are in place, add cards as your individual blog titles. Doing this will allow you to stay organized and not have to come up with new ideas every day of the challenge.
Now that you have your plan together, you can start scheduling your content on a calendar app like Google Calendar. Enter in the time frame that you are committed and use that time only for blogging.
Write a commitment post
Putting your commitments in writing helps to anchor them into your mind and your soul. Think of wedding vows and how the bride and groom write them down to say to one another at the alter.
Writing a blog or even a short post on social media will let others know you are serious, as well as help keep you accountable to your commitment.
Don't overthink this part. Make it simple yet powerful. Here is an example of how it could begin:
I, (insert name), commit to completing the 30-Day Coil Blogging Challenge by publishing one blog per day on Coil. Doing so will help to enhance my blogging skills, as well as add value to my audience by supplying them relevant content on a consistent basis.
Run with others
Running the next 30 days on your own is possible, but not as much fun as it could be. You run the risk of missing days, or even taking the easy route and quitting altogether.
Joining the CBC, or Coil Blogging Club, will help you stay on track and motivated throughout the entire 30-day challenge. Running the race alongside teammates is a great way to stay in the game without losing momentum.
