Bits Of Good

COVID-19 is a test for humanity on many fronts. A stress test to each of our healthcare systems, to the world's economy and ultimately to our capacity as individuals to act with the greater good in mind, rather than our own.

Maybe you are lucky enough to not be in a vulnerable position in this crisis because at your young age your chances of having complications out of the novel coronavirus are significantly lower. And perhaps even luckier as your loved ones are in good overall health and have the means to stay safe. Unfortunately this is not the case for millions of people, some of with whom you even have contact every day.

I am no health professional. Like you, I've been spending hours online lately to learn more about this new global threat, trying to keep my family safe. But while browsing through, I have quickly learned that this threat is so serious that our responsibility doesn't end with the safety of our loved ones. In fact, to make our loved ones safe, we need to think about protecting our community.

We can help fight COVID-19

Maybe you've already seen this, but if like me you hadn't either come across it or thought of it, there is this very important notion of flattening the curve of number of cases over time to avoid exceeding the healthcare system's capacity in your community, city, or country due to a fast spread of the virus.

How can we help flatten the curve?

COVID-19 is particularly tricky in the sense that not everyone feels at risk because for some age groups getting the virus will be no different than “getting the flu”. By not feeling threatened we can easily fall in the trap and get infected by ignoring some of the key precautions, becoming then, carriers of transmitters of a highly contagious virus that may pose a serious life risk to not few of the people we come in contact with.

This doesn't mean we need to panic. However, we should play our part in keeping the risk of becoming part of the virus spreading by observing the guidelines and recommendations provided by the experts (For example this resource from the World Health Organization). By doing so, we would be more likely to help avoid spreading of the virus at a rate that would have the number of cases exceed the capacity of local or even national health care systems.

Coil is a powerful platform to create content. And in troubling times like this, it also becomes a great channel to help raise awareness and share content that can help us fight this pandemic as a team. I would like to ask you to share this GIF far and wide, as it is a very effective way of explaining how a coordinated approach can really help reduce the risk of collapsing our local healthcare systems. The GIFs and more information on their reuse can be found in Wikimedia Commons.

Dear Readers,

Needless to say, we are entering challenging times. Please! Stay safe, observe all precautions and take care of your families and loved ones. To close this post, I'd like to share a quote I found quite inspiring:

Hard times don't create heroes. It is during the hard times when the 'hero' within us is revealed.

And it is my hope that the hero within each of you is revealed.

This month, thanks to the outstanding support from the XRP Community, the One More Home project accomplished a major milestone reaching a balance of 50,000 XRP for the first time since the start of the project. You can check on the progress of the XRP campaign by visiting the XRP Tip Bot donations page for One More Home:

https://www.xrptipbot.com/u:onemorehome/n:twitter

Good Souls Group Update

The nine Good Souls Group charities are getting closer to the collective milestone on total amount raised of 300,000 XRP

You can follow up on the progress of the GSG and also each project individually at Goodxrp.org

One More Home in Figures

Here are some interesting facts and figures around the progress of the One More Home campaign so far as we approach the 2000 micro-donations milestone!

Micro-donations:

XRP via micro-donations and direct deposits:

XRP via ILP deposits (Coil streams and boosts):

Current XRP Balance: 50.241,680702 (US$11889.99)

Total XRP converted to USD:

USD via campaign page:

Total raised so far

Now let's remember that last month, the One More Home campaign became a founding member of the Architects Program with New Story. This commitment translates into a pledge to help New Story Charity fund 3 homes and community development over the next three years for a total of $30000.

If the raised XRP was exchanged for USD and all the proceeds were deposited to New Story today, our funding status for the Architects Program participation would be as follows:

Home 1 (2020):

Home 2 (2021):

Home 3 (2022):

This means, theoretically we are currently raising funds for the home to be built in 2021. As the prices of digital assets can change rather quickly, the funding status of this project can fluctuate as well. The aim here is to secure the best possible exchange rate to secure the highest funding status possible with the least amount of XRP.

New Story Updates

On February 19th, the first 3D printed community, built by New Story in Mexico was featured in a tweet by the World Economic Forum's Twitter account. Huge exposure for the project considering their 3.6 million followers:

https://twitter.com/wef/status/1230069513502195713?s=20

Also, Matthew Marshall, Co-Founder and Head of Product at New Story shared a really cool Behind the Scenes video from Bolivia, one of the countries where New Story has built new homes for families in need:

https://twitter.com/Matth3wMarshall/status/1232115779434209280

**What's Next?
**While we continue to closely monitor the markets for an opportunity to maximize the impact of the XRP raised so far, we keep on working behind the scenes both at the Good Souls Group and One More Home fronts to come up with new and fun fundraising initiatives, while always grateful for the continuous support from the XRP Community.

Real philanthropy takes no sides. And in today's INSPOtlight I am really excited to cover Lumenthropy, a really cool project that I have been following for a long time now, aiming to champion the adoption of Stellar Lumens (XLM) in the framework of charitable efforts.

Before we jump into this awesome project, I'd like to dwell a bit on the ridiculous tribalism that is so harmful to the crypto space as a whole. My take is that this mentality is fueled by crypto investors unsure of having placed their bets on the wrong horse and will miss out on juicy profits.

What if we focus also on giving instead of just profiting and turn crypto philanthropy into the bridge we need between communities to break the silos? Nonprofit organizations are beginning to accept donations in a wide range of digital assets, and the more they accept, the better as this will continue to legitimize crypto as a whole and find new use cases for different digital assets.

Enter:

To promote the welfare of others, expressed especially by the generous donation of Lumens to good causes.

Reads the header of Lumenthropy's website, a really impressive project aiming to encourage nonprofit organizations to accept Lumens (XLM) donations and to inspire people that hold XLM to donate to worthy causes.

The Website

I dare you to head to lumenthropy.com, check it out and tell me it is not a stunning website. I mean come on! This is some solid work!

The home page provides excellent insight as to what the main objectives of Lumenthropy are, and what are the actions taken to achieve it.

Particularly interesting is their mission “To encourage nonprofit organizations to accept Lumens donations and to inspire people that hold Lumens to donate to worthy causes”.

Especially in encouraging nonprofit organizations to accept XLM, Lumenthropy has done tremendous work which also shows how early we are and how a lot of work still needs to be done to get the attention of most charity organizations. As Lumenthropy pointed out to me: “I've contacted a 100 or more nonprofits and only about 5 percent call me back and of those only 5 percent show any interest in accepting digital donations.”

Personally, I think this is where the Crypto Community as a whole can begin to band together. The more nonprofits receive donations in digital assets (regardless of which one), the more the crypto space gets noticed. Does your favorite nonprofit accepts digital assets but still doesn't accept donations in your favorite digital asset? So what? If you really wish to support the cause, convert to the assets they accept and this will help boost overall adoption.

Coming back to the website (did I mention it looks amazing?), it also features the Spotlight Non-profit, for which Lumenthropy is currently running a drive to raise XLM. At time of writing, the organization supported is Women Who Code, with a goal of raising 2000 XLM.

At the bottom of the homepage you can also find a set of key facts and figures around the project. Keeping track of the total amount of nonprofits having been identified as accepting XLM donations, the balance of Keybase's XLM wallet, the total amounts of Lumens sent and the amount of Lumens accepted by the nonprofits (The difference between XLM sent and accepted are the nonprofits that are still to claim the XLM donations (e.g. via Keybase)).

Beyond the home page you can navigate through Lumenthropy's website to find out the specifics about the campaigns they have supported so far and also how the Spotlight Non-profit way of working plays out. It also offers a robust set of resources to learn more about Stellar.org's mission, and accepting Stellar Lumens donations including a straight-forward guide to do so via Keybase:

Spotlight Non-profits

Prior to Women To Code, in 2019, Lumenthropy raised 8,800 XLM in total for seven spotlight non profits, featuring large organizations like Heifer International:

The List

Additionally to the Spotlight Nonprofits, Lumenthropy also curates a list of organizations that accept Stellar Lumens (XLM). This way, philantropists wishing to donate in XLM know to which organizations they can give:

There is a lot of interesting information in the website, I would really encourage you to visit it and to learn more about this really amazing initiative.

Lumenthropy On Twitter

Lumenthropy is active on Twitter since January 2019 making quite an entry tweeting their Keybase activation message:

https://twitter.com/lumenthropy/status/1089237771116367872?s=20

To keep up with what this amazing project is achieving, don't forget to give them a follow on Twitter.

https://twitter.com/lumenthropy

Lumenthropy on Keybase

Similar to the use case the Good Souls Group have found in the XRP Tip Bot as a tool to manage donations, Lumenthropy largely relies on Keybase as it also offers the possibility to donate or send XLM to Twitter handles, as Lumenthropy pointed out in a nice chat we had recently:

Keybase has this feature where XLM is sent to their [nonprofit's] Twitter handle and automatically claimed when they prove ownership of that handle.

Keybase has a way to cryptographically prove ownership of websites and accounts like Twitter.

That is indeed a really cool feature that can turn XLM + Keybase into a convenient, secure and transparent way to nonprofits to open a new donations stream.

You can check out Lumenthropy's Keybase profile which contains further details in this link:

https://keybase.io/lumenthropy

If you wish to donate to Women Who Code or the upcoming Spotlight Non-profits you can do so via Keybase or by donating directly from Lumenthropy's website:

I was quite impressed by the work done by Lumenthropy so far, especially the groundwork done behind the scenes, by contacting so many nonprofit organizations to boost adoption of XLM donations and also by the powerful tandem that Keybase and Twitter can offer to the Internet of Giving.

This was a specially tough weekend in the crypto space and today. And to lighten up a little, I wanted to share a few of the most hilarious GIFs and memes I've found so far, hoping to help you have a better start to the week (expect me to throw some humor after every dump we get, so I hope you don't get to see so many of these posts!).

After what seemed to be a new bull run, Saturday and Sunday marked yet another whale dump that took some of the alts to double digit losses wiping out the gains of an entire week in just a few hours. But this is crypto and shouldn't be a surprise anymore.

Now, if Warren Buffett had picked up on the hype and went all in on Bitcoin last week, we could picture him going like this:

https://media.giphy.com/media/tDINQreQ6hn9u/giphy.gif

One of the riskiest practices you can engage on in heavily manipulated markets like our dear crypto scene is to do day trading. A few whale dumps like the one we just had this weekend and you could end up having quite a transformation in a very short time...

...and it's no surprise...I mean, honestly all those perfect patterns, lined up Fibonacci retracements, trend lines and [enter any fancy TA term here]

typically end up being destroyed by the one big fat red candle...

https://media.giphy.com/media/S3n6idriKtiFbZyqve/giphy.gif

that ends up even giving many things a new meaning...

So far this read may seem pretty funny to Hodlers, but truth is there may be not much fun into opening Blockfolio either!

I mean Hold On for Dear Life they said...

And if during days like this you reach out to your fellow crypto investor, it only gets worse!

https://media.giphy.com/media/zjHTQvOqLlkaY/giphy.gif

Anyway...now coming back to the Oracle of Omaha and to last weekend, this is what we could picture him saying this morning after the massive dump over the last days, specially on the alts!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG0mscKKD7M

It doesn't really matter if today you are in the green, in the red, a trader or a hodler, remember that every minute you spend glued to the charts is lost forever. And time, my dear reader, is your most valuable asset and it's not mineable, its total circulating supply is unknown, but it generally ends up being too scarce. So spend your time with your loved ones, be present. Otherwise you risk making a bad trade where it actually matters exchanging your time for less important assets in your portfolio.

Wondering what the buzz around #thecoilchallenge that even got Brad Garlinghouse all hyped up is all about? It is a really fun idea by RileyQ inspired on #thedollypartonchallenge, aiming to get to know the Coil community better.

How does it work?

Here's Riley's explanation from her original post:

After ten downright awesome Coil content creators have successfully accomplished the challenge placed upon them, it is now my turn to answer a few questions after Crypto Pilot tagged me. Thank you so much Randal for giving me the honor! And of course:

https://media.giphy.com/media/d4zHnLjdy48Cc/giphy.gif

So far we've got the following posts:

RileyQ

▫️ Patricia C

▫️ AussieNinja

▫️ Patty B

▫️ Dani Torres

▫️ NickelNDime

▫️ Seth Stanley

▫️ XRP_Productions

▫️ Michael B

▫️ Crypto Pilot

I want to thank Randal for the questions he wrote for me in this challenge. I find it very thoughtful because it is a great opportunity to share my views on what in my opinion the Crypto space must not forget and also to raise awareness about One More Home and the huge global inadequate home crisis...

https://media.giphy.com/media/xThtalkAxYnZd94uB2/giphy.gif

First Question: If you could influence every single person currently in the crypto space of something what would that be and why?
Crypto is a paradigm shift where a lot of money has been made, and I believe there is still a lot to be made by investors. With that in mind I would ask everyone in the crypto space not to forget (specially when better days come) that not everyone has been so lucky to be presented with this huge opportunity. We live in a broken system that has created deep inequality in access to education and decent living conditions, and we should do our part in turning “leveling the playing field” into a lot more than a cool and bullish catchphrase.

And there is a lot of “leveling” to do. There are billions of people around the world living in survival mode, and I am not exaggerating:

https://www.dosomething.org/us/facts/11-facts-about-global-poverty

A few facts from that article: “nearly ½ of the world’s population (more than 3 billion people) live on less than $2.50 a day(!!!), while over 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty less than $1.25 a day.”

Also, “1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.” I could go on and list the eleven facts and even more, but you get the picture.
Bottom line, let's make of crypto an opportunity for ourselves and for those who need it the most.

**Second Question: Why is it so important for you that you are a part of building homes for those in need?
**Being from El Salvador I grew up exposed to the hardship under which so many families live, or I should better say, get by. I have always wanted to do something to help change this and I have found the perfect mix between a generous and vibrant community (XRP Community), a unique fundraising ecosystem (XRP Tip Bot and Coil) and also an outstanding organization to team up with, that builds homes for those in need: New Story Charity.

El Salvador and so many other countries are really struggling to break the cycle of poverty because millions of families have not been given the opportunity to start their journey from the safety of a decent home.

We cannot demand from individuals to give their full potential to society if they and their families are permanently on survival mode.

In the end, it's not just about giving homes. It's about giving opportunity for those who desperately need it.

Third Question: If you could do one interview for your blog, and you only could ask three questions, who would you interview and what are the questions?

I would interview David Schwartz. and would probably ask him:

1. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

2. What is the one thing you would like to be remembered for?

3. Describe your perfect Barbecue menu (as detailed as possible).

https://media.giphy.com/media/xUPGcr4cSg0CQL42ha/giphy.gif

**Fourth Question: The other three were kind of serious, so this one is a little lighter (maybe). Michael B was asked about 3 music albums for the rest of his life, I was asked about 1 song that I could listen to for the rest of my life, so, your question, music related, what, other than your National Anthem, is the most uplifting and patriotic song that you like to listen to?
**One song immediately came to my mind. Maybe it won't be the type of song you would've expected but it checks all the boxes:

Uplifting?✔️ Definitely. This song puts our whole national football (soccer) stadium to dance once they play it over the PA. 😂

https://media.giphy.com/media/l41lWh1CfhiwNMsco/giphy.gif

Patriotic ✔️Yes, this song is considered the Anthem of our Football National Team. There is no Salvadoran that doesn't know it...I guarantee you.

Now is my turn to tag a fellow Content Creator and it is my pleasure to tell Niels (Coil handle: @nvds88) you're it!

Niels is an extremely versatile writer in Coil. If you are a Coil reader and you are not following his travel adventures, his “dissecting the scene” movie and series synopsis and personal views about different topics, then you're doing it wrong!

Here are my four questions for Niels:

1. If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose shoes would they be? And why?

2. If you could invite 3 people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would they be, and why?

3. What is the most heartwarming thing you’ve ever seen?

4. What is a dream you have that you’ve yet to achieve?

Hello sports fans! We are kicking-off The first Blab of the decade not only by interviewing a toetally awesome guy; Cryptoe Man, but also by learning more about two of the future stars of international football: Theo and Arlo Peacock! (Pro tip; If you love football and you are not following the Peacock Tekkers on YouTube, then you are doing it wrong!):

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9-JlFBcXLHCbo-XJ5nZPhw

(RR) I am a big supporter of the Peacock Tekkers, your boys are rising stars in the world of football and also on YouTube with their amazing channel. Can you tell us a bit about their passion for the sport?

(CM) I have always been a huge football fan, but it took Theo a few years before he really started showing an interest in football. He went to his first football team at age 5 and has never looked back.

Of course every child wants to be a striker, but Theo has taken after me and is a center back who is able to read the game very well, and is solid in defense. He has been on football tours, competing with teams across the UK, and last year had the opportunity to play with his team in an international cup in Barcelona.

Arlo, on the other hand, is motivated by football; presumably from watching his brother play every weekend in his pushchair since he was just 2 weeks old. From 8 months old he would sit in his pushchair doing kick ups, and his first steps were kicking a football! He definitely has a special talent in this area, and a real passion for the sport.

(RR) That's pretty cool! It sure seems football is in their DNA and hopefully one day we get to see them in the Champions League or the World Cup! Here is an awesome intro from Theo and Arlo's YouTube channel.

https://youtu.be/6Zsr3Gj2B-A

Let's talk a bit more about footie...Who do you think is the best football player in history?

(CM) For me it has to be David Beckham. I grew up watching David Beckham’s career on the pitch and of course copying his hairstyles!

(RR) Beckham had some serious skills. Specially with set pieces.

I grew up watching a different player's career although when I started following football, he was on the last years. Have you ever heard of Jorge “Magico” Gonzalez?

(CM) EL MAGICO? one of the best players most people have never heard of, I do indeed know who he is but most people don't.

(RR) Exactly! I couldn't have described him better. I am really glad you know about him...I grew up watching Magico play in my hometown. He used to play for Club Deportivo FAS which is the team I support (and the one with the most championships in my country). People would always leave the stadium with a smile on their face...

Magico was very successful in his own ways. Everyone else thinks he threw his career away because of too much partying and not taking his career seriously enough. I guess it depends on each one’s definition of success. How would you define success?

(CM) For me, success is very personal. If I have an idea and execute it the way I picture it- that is success for me. I am very creative and a bit of a perfectionist. Not everybody has to like what I am doing, but as long as I am happy with my work and have done the best job I can, I am happy. This is something I am trying to teach my sons too, as they are very competitive, but both excel in different areas. You don’t have to always win or be good at everything to be successful; build on your strengths and be proud of it.

(RR) And the proof is in your awesome projects all around Cryptoe Man. Can you walk us through how the SockChain revolution begun?

(CM) This is actually a funny story, I saw someone wearing Bitcoin socks on a news channel and I thought to myself: “I really want some Ripple socks” (this was before the XRP logo was created) so I shopped for days and days for a pair and no one had made them, so I started hunting for places to try and make a good quality pair of socks, but if you want quality you have to order in bulk. So I took a gamble, I ordered 100 pairs of blue Ripple socks just so I could have a few pairs for myself, and tweeted out that I had the rest for sale. They sold so fast and even Brad Garlinghouse got a pair! Crazy Right?

(RR) Absolutely crazy! And the rest is history. By the way, here is the proof!:

https://twitter.com/haydentiff/status/1032393589219704833?s=20

Let's talk a bit about music...What’s the best concert you’ve ever attended?

(CM) Ohhh...This is a tough one as I've seen a lot of very cool people from Paul Wellar, to Kings of Leon but the one that stands out the most in my mind has to be Candi Station. She was amazing and she sang one of my favorite songs ever: “You got the Love”.

(RR) Here is a fragment of the song, in case you haven't heard of it (how cool is it that you can add these Spotify links now into the blog):

https://open.spotify.com/track/2oiXjrv2f0Yb2pridsNwTv

(RR) We talked about dream concerts...can you share with us what is your dream place?

(CM) Give me a forest and a great waterfall to jump off, and I am in my element.

(RR) That's pretty awesome! And do you have pets at home?

(CM) Yes, we have a 3 year old red cockapoo called Marley. My wife is a cat person though, so we may end up with a feline addition in the near future!

(RR) Wow, that could end up in some interesting standoffs. What would Marley say about you if I asked him for a reference?

She would probably say give me a treat and take me for a walk and I'll tell you any thing you need to know about him... 😂

(RR) What is the best thing that happened to you this week?
(CM) The best thing for me this week has to be watching my son play the best match he has ever played and getting man of the match, He was Solid in defense and if it wasn't for him they would of lost that game. I walked straight over to him at full time and gave him a cuddle and told him I was super proud of him and I’ve never seen him play so well.

(RR) Congrats! That must be an amazing feeling, my son is 7 months old and I am really looking forward to share such moments with him.

What would be your best advice specially to new parents that are reading this interview?

(CM) It's true what they say, it's hard to believe but it is in fact true. People told me: “when you see your first born son for the first time that something will come across you that has never come across you before and no one can explain the feeling until it happens”. And they are all correct. The feeling of love when you see your child for the first time...is something that you've always felt you've had before for a partner, mum or dad but this kind of love takes that to a new level.

The best advice I could give is just to love your children as much as your soul can give, and make sure they work hard in school, eat correctly and socialize as much as possible from a young age so when they start school its not difficult for them to interact with other children.

(RR) That's exactly it. Love your children and embrace the time with them as it all goes by quite fast. Thank you Cryptoe for this really great interview.

There is a bit more footie content for our Coil subscribers...including a rare video of Magico Gonzalez playing side by side Diego Maradona for FC Barcelona!

XRPL Apps developed by ZIGXRP

Validators, the rippled nodes that participate in the consensus process for validating transactions in the XRPL are instrumental in the decentralization and overall health of the network. The robustness of the XRPL largely depends on how diverse the list of validators participating in the consensus network is. Via XRPL Apps, the XRPL Developer ZIGXRP, has done an outstanding job in creating a platform to monitor the performance and reliability of these key players of the ecosystem, in addition to sleek visualizations leveraging on data from the XRPL Decentralized Exchange (DEX).

Bithomp developed by Viacheslav Bakshaev

Arguably the go-to XRPL explorer operating
since 2015
and one of the first non-Ripple validators added in the UNL
. Bithomp has been running its validator since September 2017
and also offered one of the first XRP paper wallets.
Coil members can access an exclusive interview with its founder Viacheslav Bakshaev.

XRPL Charts developed by Tap

XRPL Charts, leverages on a range of different endpoints from Ripple’s API allowing its users to generate different visualizations on XRP burned in fees, ledger closings, account creations and more. Its sleek website gives the user a very intuitive and straight-forward experience, exactly what the doctor ordered for mainstream adoption.

XRPSCAN

A clean and and very intuitive block explorer for the XRP Ledger released on BETA in October 2018. Personally, I really like XRPSCAN's UX as it offers the unique advantage of “speaking the same language” as other legacy block explorers of other cryptocurrencies, making it appealing for users who are already familiar with these.

This means it's time for One More Update on what the One More Home Campaign, the Good Souls Group and New Story Charity have been up to lately, including the new commitment of helping build three homes and support communities in a more comprehensive way over the next three years through The Architects Program.

The One More Home story something I want to share with everyone. Still, Coil subscribers get a perk at the bottom of this post: A curation of books and podcasts recommended by New Story Charity's team members, a group of energetic young individuals tackling one of the biggest problems faced by societies worldwide: homelessness.

The IoT Christmas Tree says

The IoT Christmas tree shined for the last time of this holiday season on January 12th...

Later that day, the IoT Christmas tree turned off its lights for this holiday season and went back to Nixer's basement until the next Christmas. The raised XRP by this awesome and out of the box (literally) project, was transferred to the @GoodXRP charities.

A huge shout out and a big thanks to Nixer for such a noble gesture during a season that inspires sharing and giving our best to others. Hopefully we get to see the XRP IoT Christmas Tree 2.0 shining during the next holiday season!

One More Home News

January 2020 has been special for One More Home project for a number of reasons. January 3rd, marked the first anniversary of the XRP fundraiser, which at the time of writing has received 18685 donations adding up to a balance of 45743.171248 XRP (46453.171248 XRP raised in total). This month also marked the 2nd boost payment from Coil that has been sent by Coil to One More Home's ILP payment pointer and also the enrollment of One More Home in New Story's recently created The Architects Program as founding member.

2nd Coil Boost

On January 16th, One More Home, via this blog that has become a key donation stream to the campaign, thanks to the generous boost program from Coil towards content creators, has received a new boost payment from Coil totaling $2211.18 (9694.762 XRP).

I'd like to highlight that this blog being in the Coil Boost program is the result of awesome community work. If you have shared your awesome XRPL project with me, spared me some time for an interview, or read the blog posts posted during December, you have actively contributed to build a home for a family in need this year.

**Joining The Architects Program
**Yes. One More Home will be funding a home for a family in need this year. It can't get more exciting than this, as we will start to see tangible results of all the efforts taken by the XRP Community over the last year to raise both funds and awareness to help tackle a monumental problem affecting millions of families worldwide.

The home to be funded this year will be the first of three homes committed to help build over the next three years in the framework of enrolling in the Architects program as announced earlier this month.

The Post Announcement Rally

Right after the commitment of building three homes in three years was announced, the XRP Community once again flexed its muscles of good and responded with a massive show of generosity spearheaded by Nordic Ann and her matching challenge of 400 XRP

The challenge was not only smashed in less than two hours by the Community. @RTB_Dutchy and an anonymous donor generously matched her 400 XRP donation and sent 800 XRP more adding fuel to this bull run of good.

Pledging to fund three homes and further support the home building initiatives ($30K in total) over the next three years requires a leap of confidence, as it is a challenging task. However, the response from my friends in the XRP Community has completely reassured me that we will not only be able to fund those three homes in the next three years, but also many more in the decade to come. So thank you so much for your continued support!

What's Next?

Over the next weeks, I will be working with New Story Charity on completing the enrollment of One More Home into The Architects program, while continuing to team up with my friends in the Good Souls Group to come up with fun campaigns on Twitter and regularly write in this blog with the objective of raising more funds via Coil streams. By the way, It's been a while since the last Blab, maybe it's time to post a new one. 🤔
