really sick of....
...reaching down and feeling a big gut underneath my chest. i desperately need to lose some weight but i have so many other priorities right now. Considering STLCC is held off for yet another semester (due to the old loan not being discharged in time), i may as well scrap the very idea of even going back to college. idk what i would do w/ an AA or AAS other than find some “freelance” writing work (which i don't wanna do that much anyway). I would rather just keep doing what i am doing right now which is earning my EdX certificate and building the Web app. But working out has to come along at some time!
i mean i know i can motivate myself but then when it comes right down to it, i don't always have that much motivation :/:/:/ Comes in “spurts” sort of.
idk. more on this later.

...are very peaceful. Just me and the crickets. The AC is running but the window is still cracked a littttle bit. Just to let in some fresh air, ambient night sounds.
I gotta be ready to go at 9AM tomorrow for my dad's surgery at 11AM, but i slept v well today, so i will be able to still stay up late and still be rested for tomorrow. I really hope everything goes well w/ dad.
On another note: i think FoxFi (the Android tethering app) is free now. I have not been booted off WiFi once today and i have been doing a lot of shit on this Mac. All is good.
I have been watching a little bit of “One Way Ticket: The Digital Nomad Documentary” on YT and i still v much so yearn for a time when i can actually be location-independent. I mean i am doing everything i can at the moment, but i still have a couple things i want to accomplish here before i move again. idk where i am moving to next but it will probably be somewhere in S St Louis County. I don't know. I really wanna move to Wicker Park (a neighborhood) in Chicago, but, you know – money.
Or possibly even Dogtown in St Louis would be cool. Another possibility.

the #app
it is going to be totes open-source, of course. it isn't going to be anything too revolutionary (the #code, that is). I am going to keep it as minimal and clean as possible bc i am A) a writer, and B) tedious about shit like that. So i am going to keep all of the code as minimal a possible just like the layout for the site will be as minimal as possible, just like how everything in my life is as minimal as possible.

i don't think i really have to at this point in my life right now. i just made some “deep cuts” in the amt of things that i own, and i don't think i need to really cut back v much further for the time being. Maybe someday. Not right now.
I've said this before but: i could pack everything i own into a 15L backpack (besides some furniture) and live not just comfortably, but live the way i have been living for a v long time. In fact, i am thinking about buying a 10 Liter “Bullet Ruck” from GoRuck backpacks and seeing if i could get by with just that (i probs could). I would definitely make his purchase should i be ready to move somewhere, but atm, i am staying put :)
Anyway, i had dinner and a frreshhhh shower and thinking about (actually am) xleaning up my apartment in 3...2...
i slept the day away
and i am OK with that because i got the Lecture 1 finished with, so...WIN!
Dad is going to be in the hospital for a couple weeks or more possibly. His finger is being amputated + they have to open up the palm to drain fluids (which is really fucking gross). It is going to be an ordeal.
Right now i am listening to Fugazi radio and Tweeting and just chilling. Nice night. I will be up late, for sure.
Lecture 1: DONE!
Wrapped up that lecture and now i am ready to move onto Problem Set 2. #goodtimes
dad is waiting on word from the hand surgeon to see if/when they are going to remove the pinky finger. We'll see soon.
i am sitting here chatting w/ Winnie on Hangouts and thinking about what i shall do w/ the rest of my day and getting ready to make some sort of lunch.
i reset my phone last night and re-downloaded the FoxFi #app and i think it is just a free app now, because i haven't ran into any hangups w/ it yet. #awesome

I just checked on the status of the loan discharged and more info is needed (again) so that means the time-crunch for STLCC is no longer a crunch bc there is basically no way i can get everything ready/approved before the Fall 2018 semester. Kinda sucks but considering i am already busy af, it is no big deal. What i will be doing is sending out their information that they requested in an attempt for a 2019 run + doubling-down on the #CS50x stuff i am doing currently. Tomorrow i have the rest of Lecture 1 to watch and then i am going to try to get through one (or two) “shorts” after that (there are about five shorts for this module).
I am also going to be making more purchases in September in regards to the #app i am building

How's Studying Going?
Very well!
I am ½ hour into Lecture 1 (which is actually L 2) and i understand everything just fine. I toyed around a bit w/ the terminal interface that the class is going to be using for #writing #code (which the URL i won't mention bc idk if i should), and i pre-downloaded all of the lectures (the “shorts”) ahead of time and have them filed away. A bit of this i have mentioned already.
But also, looking ahead towards the Final Project: I have a good amt of it mapped out in the “app notes” or whatever folder in TextEdit. I have a big section highlighted in bold for what the whole thing is going to look like, but not exactly what it is going to be doing “behind the scenes”, as it were. I will try to keep the code as minimal as possible just like i am going to be keeping the app as simple as possible, just like i am going to keep the directions on how to use the #app as simple as possible. #Simplicity is key!
Now, what i will be making for #CS50x is not going to be the final product necessarily. Definitely won't be. Because i really want to host this differently, and do a bunch of different shit w/ it that wouldn't necessarily match up to the standards of CS50x coursework. But it is all good.
Gonna be fun!
