Wednesday is working well in the Roscoe-verse. I'd set three main chores for the day: one is already completed, another is nearly done, and plenty of time remains to tackle the third. And there will be college basketball games to follow this evening before bed.

I'll consider today a low-key success. Accomplished 4 major chores all before sunset and without generating any particular stress. Now if I can just cap that good day off with a good night's sleep. Yeah, right.

For those keeping score: Went to bed ~9:00 PM, woke wide-awake ~1:00 AM, Only now at ~2:20 AM am I starting to be the least bit drowsy. 1st alarm is set to go off at 5:00 AM and I'll be lucky to squeeze 2 ½ more hours of sleep in before that. By my math, that will give me a total of 6 ½ hours of sleep tonight. And if I'm lucky I'll be able to grab 1 or 2 power naps during the day ahead. We'll see how that works out.

So... yesterday I was so darned tired from the week behind that I ran on autopilot all day. Still, I processed and posted a lot of pictures the wife took a few days ago as games and an old movie played in the background. And today it's freezing outside so I probably won't make it to Mass. Crap!

Another long day, this Friday. An invitation to a Christmas party came out of the blue and by virtue of my office I was pretty much obligated to go. So Sylvia and I put in an appearance, we ate, I took care of some business and we left. Given all the activity of the past week I was operating on autopilot to a large degree most of this day. With no alarm to wake me tomorrow and no reason to be up early, perhaps I'll be able to get a good night's sleep in. Lord knows I could use one.

Another busy day, this Thursday. From 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM I worked at a Funeral Mass then the burial with KofC 4th Degree friends of mine. Tired now, I'll be lucky to make it to half-time of tonight's football game before putting head to pillow.

A very long day, this Wednesday in the Roscoe-verse, but a good one. Sylvia and I drove downtown to attend the Wake/Rosary Service for a Deceased brother Knight. Got to see a lot of friends tonight we too seldom see.

It's been a good Tuesday. Productive. Finally got the front yard mowed, the grass catcher collecting lots of leaves from the big tree. Good comms with several KofC Officers. Developed and sent out two scripts for use in tomorrow night's ceremony. Righteously tired and expecting a good night's sleep.

Cold, drizzly weather convinced me that it would be wiser to stay home and attend to household chores than to walk over to Ralph's Funeral Mass this morning. Given my age and general physical condition, it would not be wise to risk getting sick. And after all, I did attend his Wake last night and expressed condolences to his wife and son.

Will I EVER learn?! I ate WAY too much food WAY too late from last night's pitch-in buffet at the KofC Council Christmas party. Consequently I had an uncomfortable 2-hour insomnia break during last night's sleep. Had to take Antacid tablets to get back to sleep, and eventually woke too late and too zombiefied to even THINK about making it to Mass this morning. I hate missing Sunday Mass and this is the 3rd or 4th Sunday in a row I've had to miss due to health reasons, either mine or the wife's. Man!
