That window of time during which I have both the energy and mental acuity to get serious work done never did open very wide today nor did it stay open very long. Ah well, at least I didn't break anything. Relaxing now to news shows from various sources, and looking forward to catching the radio call later of tonight's Steelers vs Colts game.

Staying home from Mass today, drinking coffee and taking care of my wife who did entirely too much work yesterday and consequently can barely even walk today. That's what happens when an old woman forgets her age and thinks she's a teenager.

For those keeping score, I got 7.5 hours of sleep last night. MUCH more than I've been getting lately. Of course, it took me 9 hours to do it, due to a 1.5 hour insomnia break from 02:00 until 03:30. Still, all my health metrics were better this morning than they've been for awhile. And yes, I attribute that to last night's good sleep.

So off and on throughout the day I've been exploring a multi-featured web service company I've found. I expect to have a lot of fun with it after I've learned how to use the different parts of it.

Enjoying a quiet, relaxing Thanksgiving Day. Had a nice morning video chat with daughter and family back in Indiana, then took Sylvia out to our midday turkey dinner at Golden Corral. Now watching the afternoon's 2nd NFL game. Go Cowboys!

So I'm ending this day on a sad note. I learned a few hours ago that a friend of mine has died. Other friends had been unable to reach him by phone for a few days. Finally his daughter went to his home, he lived alone, and found him dead. He and I worked together just last week. He will be greatly missed.

Last night's sleep was short, only 4 hrs. long, but it was enough to sustain me through a productive day. Did my weekly laundry, built and posted a Thanksgiving Day card to members of my KofC Assembly, transferred funds to the Philippines, and delivered supplies to the Church kitchen for my KofC Council's Thanksgiving Dinner Project. Relaxing now with a College Football Game playing over the radio.

Listening to Monday Night Football back in the home office while Sylvia is out in the front of the house making egg rolls. I tried to help her for awhile but I'm really too clumsy (arthritic hands) to do what she wanted me to do. So I'm back here listening to the game. Oh well...

Watching the 1st NFL game of the afternoon, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. Looking forward to the 2nd game where I'll be cheering on the Cowboys.
Learned earlier that a friend's wife died a few days ago. Dates for her Rosary Service and Funeral Mass haven't been announced yet. They'll probably be the week after Thanksgiving, 1st Week of Advent. This past week I worked KofC Honor Guard at the Rosary Service and Funeral Mass for a deceased Deacon.

A cold (for us) gray and rainy day here, perfect for staying in, listening to college football on the radio, and catching up on paperwork that I've let slide for a couple weeks. That's my game plan for this Saturday.
