Late afternoon Friday and all is well. With no impending deadlines of any kind facing me today, or this weekend for that matter, this is one stress-free day. Lord, I do like that!

And a long, but relatively easy day draws to a close. It was a happy day with Sylvia who was able to come home from work early. And the KofC Council meeting that capped off the day was very good; all the guys were in good spirits. And now I'm hoping for a good night's sleep.

Today was long but well-paced and productive. Got my weekly laundry done, usually try to take care of that chore on Mondays, but I had too darned much going on earlier this week. Was able to take care of some KofC work that needed doing, and did Christmas and birthday shopping for Sylvia online. Was able to do the dishes for her and police the kitchen while she was napping this afternoon. She liked that.

This has been a very good Tuesday. Working with my Brother Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Honor Guard members at the Funeral Mass of a deceased Deacon was a great experience. Then I took Sylvia out to a favorite restaurant for a late lunch / early dinner that we both enjoyed. And now I'm listening to President Trump announcing his run for another term as POTUS. Happiness.

In spite of the massive insomnia that preceded it, yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day. It was long and full, but pretty good. Hoping for more of the same today.

Got to sleep early, ~9:30 PM. Woke at 12:30 AM after 3 hrs. sleep. Have been up nearly an hour into this insomnia episode and no sign yet of any sleep on the near horizon. Drat.

After a quiet morning at home, Sylvia fixed me a big breakfast as she likes to do on Sunday morning's when we're at home, now listening to the radio call of this afternoon's first NFL game, Texans vs Giants.

So I've trimmed some branches off a big tree in the back yard already this morning and I'm settled down, listening to my 1st College Football game of the day.
I know I have family back in Indiana following this game, some cheering for one side, some for the other.
