One of the smartest moves I've made in the last few days was cancelling my SiriusXM account. I was using it mostly to follow radio broadcasts of professional and college sports. I've found TuneIn Premium to be much, much better for that. So, goodbye SiriusXM.

So today the wife and I went to a polling place on this last day of early voting in Texas and did our civic duty; we both voted straight Republican tickets. Hopefully lots of other Texans have done or will do the same thing.

This Thursday has gone pretty well. I grabbed a quick catnap mid-morning and that was enough to makeup for all the sleep lost last night. So far, anyway. I handled the necessary chores and comms with three other KofC officers dealing with a rather complicated situation that could have gone sideways, but didn't.
Ready now for some Thursday Night Football. Go Houston! (Even though you're playing the Eagles.)

Up with insomnia. Got to sleep easily and early at nine-thirty last night, woke at one-thirty this morning and have now been awake during this insomnia episode for over an hour and a half, nearly two hours now. Rather annoying, especially as my first alarm is set to go off at five o'clock.

So yesterday (Tuesday) actually did happen here in the Roscoe-verse, and it was a good day. But one time-consuming chore after another kept me too busy to post here. Really. That's my story and I'm stick'n to it.

Early evening Monday and I'm satisfied with my level of productivity today, especially considering the amount of insomnia that hit me last night, that insomnia caused by a number of factors, the principal one being overeating too late in the day. That never works well for me.

It's been over 2 ½ decades since I've retired and I'm STILL having those damned UPS-themed nightmares! Not every night, but too damned often.
This Sunday's Mass will be in the evening, 6:00 PM at St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church out on the far West side of town. I'll be doing KofC Honor Guard work there, Showtime is 5:30 PM. Sylvia and I have never been there before, hope we find it without too much trouble.
Every day my resolve to back off from my current load of KofC activities is strengthened. I simply no longer have the physical nor mental energy to do the work asked of me as it should be done. 2023 will be a good year for that to begin happening significantly.

Midday Saturday and I am SO STUFFED! Just finished a great home-cooked meal: cut green beans, whole kernel corn, and 3 big baked pork chops.
Good College Football on the radio all day long followed by Game 2 of the World Series this evening. Yep, my entertainment for this Saturday is all set.
One chore I hope to handle this afternoon is pulling some of my cool weather clothes out of storage and putting away my lighter, summer gear. After the meal I just ate settles, I'll get to that.

Midday Friday and all is well here. I'm coming to terms with the effects, both physical and mental, that aging has on me. And that helps me adjust my plans for 2023. I WILL be slowing down!

Could use a good nap. Had a short one an hour or so ago, and that helped. I surely could use another one but I doubt if I'll have time for it. Soon I'll start getting myself ready for Knights of Columbus Honor Guard work at the Cathedral this evening.
