A nap right about now sure would be nice.

As days go, this one could certainly have gone worse. The Honor Guard work at St. Gerard's this morning went well. And taking Sylvia out to brunch afterwards went well, too. Especially given the chance meeting with neighbor Fred so I could check on his health situation. Posting pictures that Sylvia took of my KofC activities this weekend has generated positive comments.

And now, nearing bedtime, the sinuses are getting ugly again. And toothache pain is deviling me. Hopefully I'll be able to get a good night's sleep.

So I've got my apron set out to wear tomorrow morning in the serving line for our Council's BBQ plate sale at the Church Festival. And I've got my 4th Degree Uniform set out to wear while doing Honor Guard work at a Respect Life Mass tomorrow evening with Bishop Mike. Yes, tomorrow's going to be busy. Today I'm resting in preparation for that.

Thank God my sinuses from Hell, which were miserable this morning, have now moderated and my breathing is free and easy with no coughing and related distress. Hope those sinuses behave tomorrow.

A pretty good Thursday winds down. I've taken 3 of my six-foot folding tables over to the Church Hall for my KofC Council to use on Saturday at the Church Festival. Sylvia has gone to play Bingo for the evening, and I have Thursday Night Football to watch after Wheel of Fortune.

Today I'm very aware of how this allergy season is affecting me, and I'm limiting my commitments accordingly. There may be some who will be disappointed that I'm not doing more this weekend, but that's their problem.

This has been another slow-moving, recovery day. Yes, I still have crud drsaining from my sinuses that I'm trying to get rid of. Walking for a mile out in the sun today was an attempt to add some healthy exercise into my regular routine. Maybe that'll help clear out my system if I can keep it up at least most days if not every single day.

The morning's been acceptably productive. Got my weekly laundry done, hung up, folded and put away before Sylvia returned home from work. Have now stumbled into SiriusXM's The Beatles Channel and am spending time, listening.

A low-key Sunday in which I've tried to do what has needed doing. Best course of action has been to do more listening and following good advice rather than pushing ahead with my own agenda.

This has been a very quiet, boring, but restorative Saturday. I finally feel fully recovered from the misery of that heatstroke a week and a day ago. Now I'm dealing with those seasonal allergies that always bother me this time of year. I can work with this.

It has been exactly one week since my heatstroke and today is the first day I'm feeling significantly recovered. I'm not 100% yet, but I'm getting close.
