Have just spent several unpleasant minutes vomiting into my home office waste basket. My decision NOT to participate in the morning's ceremony at the Cathedral has now been verified as correct.

Recovery from last week's heatstroke seems centered on two different dynamics: one I remember from many years ago, and the other is something common, but new to me.
The first is a nasty sinus situation similar to what I dealt with well over a decade ago. The symptoms I have now are the dame as those back then, and they seem to be responding to the same treatment. Dosing with strong expectorant, and frequent showers.
The second is the fact that at my age, healing takes more time than when I was younger. Much more time. So I need to continue doing what I need to do to recover, and wait patiently for my more full recovery.

For those keeping score, my recovery from Friday's heat stroke continues. Slowly. I've had lots of words of support from friends, and that is appreciated. Wednesday evening I'm supposed to chair a meeting. Hopefully I'll be ready for that.

So... my daughter wants me to go to a doctor and see if my heat stroke on Friday may have included a heat attack. Thinking about that.

This Saturday has been very much a recovery day. And tomorrow will be a recovery day, too. Granted, I feel better than I did on Friday, my day of the heatstroke. But I'm a long, long way from being 100%.

Spoke with my landlord a few hours ago. He was very nice, but gave me options I knew would be coming sooner or later. Either I buy this house I've been renting from him for ten years, or face a significant rent increase. So... the plan now is to live with the rent increase until I've got the logistics together to move Sylvia and me to the Philippines.

I didn't take care of the exact three chores I wanted to handle today, but I did take care of three: posted a major event reminder notice to my Assembly's Google Group, got good work done on the Assembly newsletter, and set an appointment with a new eye doctor. That third chore I didn't get to, I'll take care of that tomorrow morning.

It's been a pretty good Tuesday in the Roscoe-verse. The only points of conflict: two computer companies trying to bill me for services I have never used and never will. And they're apparently trying to bill an account I don't have. Jerks. Waiting to see their charges appear on one of my credit cards.

My morning nap never came, but the day has been very productive already. Built and printed many copies of KofC forms, am now finishing my weekly laundry, and expect to have ample time to take care of my chess work, Bible reading and prayers before NCIS comes on tonight. Heck, I may even squeeze in a midday siesta.

20:00 and the brain is already starting to shut down. Guess I should be heading to bed soon then.
Major chores of the day processed just fine. 10:00 Mass at STM, sent packet of material to a KofC officer at his request, sent name badge photo to another officer at his request, did some grocery shopping at Walmart. Watched NFL on TV, ate a meal with Sylvia. That's plenty for a Sunday.
