So. I may watch tonight's NCAA Championship game, but then again I may not. I saw the Baylor / Houston game Saturday night and enjoyed it. But I didn't watch the Gonzaga game. By all reports Gonzaga is an excellent team. But reports also say their players “grandstand” a lot. And I'm in no mood to watch college kids behave that way.

Darn. Learned this afternoon from his wife that an old friend of mine who has been suffering with ALS for over a year is now near death. /sigh... The older I get, the more friends I lose.

Oh, this is comfortable! A few minutes ago my first ever pair of Birkenstock sandals were delivered and I'm wearing them now. Hope they're durable, because I intend to wear them A LOT!

Well. This is a nice surprise. I recently cancelled my Sling TV account in a move to save some money. I had both the Orange and Blue tiers, dropping them saves me $50.00 per month. But I retained the option to watch “Sling Free.” This morning I checked “Sling Free” to see what's there. My goodness! Lots of old TV shows I like, a really good selection of movies, and other stuff, too.

While watching the Cardinals/Reds game this afternoon I see they're having snow flurries in Cincinnati now. It's sunny and 70 here in San Antonio. Glad I'm here and not there.

Wide awake in the middle of the night for over an hour now following a most uncomfortable dream, wondering if I can (or should even try to) find sleep again before my first scheduled alarm of the day that will ring in two and a half hours. So... do I put head back to pillow or fix a cup of coffee?

Just spent a frustrating half-hour on the phone with FAKE Amazon representative who was trying to convince me that my Amazon account had been hacked and I was going to be billed ~ $300.00 for some phone being delivered today unless I downloaded a software program onto my computer (AS IF!) that would allow him to cancel the order and put the money back into my account. Nope. I finally hung up on him and contacted Amazon myself. My account's secure, there are no mysterious orders or billings.

The Funeral Mass this morning was the first time I've been inside a church building in a year, the first time I've received Communion in a year. It's hard to describe how much satisfaction that gave me.

Pulled the black suit out of the garment bag where it's been resting for over a year. I've got a Rosary to attend for a friend this evening and his Funeral Mass tomorrow morning.
