A pretty good Thursday winds down. An unexpected chore this morning: replacing the American flag which had become shredded during that big wind which did so much damage locally. Didn't have another American flag handy that would fit my flag pole, but I did have a State of Texas Lone Star Flag that fits, so that's what's flying out front now.

This Wednesday has found me with more clarity of mind for more of the day, than for the last several days. Since Sunday, actually. I've gotten more work done over this time period than I normally do, and that's a good thing. But I've gotten to bed later than normal, too. Think I'll try putting head to pillow earlier tonight. Maybe that'll help me be more alert for more of the day tomorrow. I do hope things work out that way.

Spent nearly 2 hours this morning mowing the front yard and picking up sticks and branches that blew down in that big wind. And that nearly wiped me out for the rest of the day. Glad I stayed up to hear President Trump's speech though, that was really nice.

Last night's insomnia had me spending most of this Monday in a mental fog. That notwithstanding I still handled my regular Monday chore, doing my weekly laundry. That mental fog finally lifted after a late afternoon power nap.

An eventful Saturday. Wife and I feasted again at Lin's Buffet, then drove around the Cibolo / Schertz area before heading home. Returning home, she went off to meet friends at the Bingo Hall, and I watched an exciting IU basketball game on TV. Then I caught a really good movie on tonight's Svengoolie.

Near the end of a pretty good day. Have enjoyed entertaining baseball games throughout the day. Started with an IU game, followed that with Rangers vs Cubs, and my night finds me listening to another IU game.

Question of the moment: which baseball game shall I follow this afternoon. I have two favorite baseball teams: IU Hoosiers playing at the collegiate level, and the Texas Rangers MLB team. This afternoon both my teams are playing at the same time, opening pitches scheduled for 2:00 PM. That's 2 hours from now, so I've got a little time to choose. Decisions, decisions...

A quiet Tuesday winds down. A few basic financial moves this morning, and the few basic household chores throughout the day, placing an online grocery delivery order, keeping up with my daily prayer regimen and its pre-Lent changes, working on all my pending CC games, a bit of reading, and that's about it. Not a big day with any special elements, but a good day in which I quietly took I took care of basic business. Nice.
