All things considered, this has been a pretty good Saturday. Even though my IU Hoosiers football team got beat pretty soundly, and even though the audio feed for the IU women's basketball game was so wonky I couldn't follow their game, the Lady Hoosiers still won. And I was able to dig an old Chromecast device out of storage and get it attached to the TV back in my room. So, some small bit of productivity. Enough for a Saturday.

Today has been very much a recovery day. After two consecutive days of yard work, my arthritis is making its presence known. Fingers, hands, shoulders painful and general soreness and weakness... yeah.
Tonight I'll be listening to the UTSA Roadrunners college football team playing the Rice Owls. Kickoff is minutes away.

Waiting now for my first college game of the afternoon / evening, Women's Basketball featuring the Long Island University Sharks vs the Michigan Wolverines. Opening Tip scheduled for just a few minutes from now.
My 2nd game will be Men's College Basketball, Purdue Ft. Wayne vs Penn State. Opening tip for that game is scheduled for 6:00 PM.

Waiting patiently for Peacock TV to bring me the 1st of 2 men's college basketball games I'm planning to follow this evening. Penn vs Villanova is scheduled to start in about 15 min, and that will be followed by Samford vs Michigan St.

Winding down a pretty good Monday. I handled the regular Monday chores without any hassle: hauled the brown trash bin out to the curb for collection, then back to the backyard after, and; got my weekly laundry done, two loads through the machines then folded, hung up and put away.
Caught a women's college basketball game this afternoon, and I'm listening to the Monday Night Football Game now, Houston Texans vs Dallas Cowboys.

Enjoying a quiet, relaxed Sunday. Luckily I worked through the day's chess games in relatively short order. Moved in all pending games in less than an hour, and that left plenty of time keep up with the Sunday prayer regimen.
Happily listened to IU's Women's Basketball Team win their game against Stanford earlier this afternoon. Now I'm listening to the Kansas City Chiefs playing the Buffalo Bills, the game just moving into the 2nd Quarter. Go Chiefs!
And keeping with my trend of following popular sports, I'll probably tune in the Sunday Night Football game. Hopefully I'll be able to catch the first half before heading to bed. We'll see.

My entertainment focus for today is on two men's college basketball games and one “scary” movie. The 1st game is already completed, and I was glad to see Notre Dame beat Georgetown. My 2nd game is now underway, IU vs South Carolina. Go Hoosiers! Tonight Svengoolie will be showing my “scary” movie: Dr. Phibes Rises Again.

Last night I stayed up past my regular bedtime following an NFL game and had one of the best sleeps in several weeks. Tonight I'll try something similar. Though there are no football games for me, I do have access to Big Ten basketball games tonight that can keep me up. We'll see if this Friday night's sleep can match Thursday's.

Listening to Thursday Night Football, Commanders vs Eagles, and the game is as good as I hoped it would be. Heck, I usually head to bed at halftime of this night game, but here I am in the last part of the 3rd Quarter with a 10-6 score thinking I might stay up until the end. Yes, the eyelids are getting heavy, but... I don't know. we'll see.
