A nice quiet Friday is winding down with ESPN Radio bringing me the NLCS Game between the Mets and the Dodgers. After this game I may stick with baseball to follow the Yankees and Guardians in their ALCS Game that comes on later, or I may switch over to college football. That's a decision to be made later.

At ~09:30 this morning the home Internet went down in my neighborhood. At that time my ISP predicted the outage would last approx. 8 hours. Luckily they were able to bring us back online by ~12:30, so only 3 hours of actual downtime.
As I'm mostly a radio guy anyway, and a reader, this gave me a chance to put on a good music station and get some reading done. It turned out to be a pretty good morning for me, actually.
This evening I plan to follow some live college football. Of course, there's also the option of NFL's Thursday Night Football, but the college games appeal to me more.

Working through a pretty good Monday. That one chore I always try to do on the first day of the week, my weekly laundry, is all done. Clothes folded and put away. And I'm relaxing to Game 2 of the NLCS, Mets vs Dodgers.

Relaxing my way into this Sunday evening listening to Fox and Father, a weekly conversation between two British friends that I find refreshing.
The NFL games I followed today were entertaining, for the most part. I'm glad the Bears won their game in London, and I'm glad the Colts won their game in Tennessee. The Colts / Lions game quickly devolved into such a blowout that I turned away from that at halftime.

This College Football Saturday I'm targeting two games to follow: with an 11:00 kickoff scheduled I'll listen to the Wisconsin Badgers vs the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, then with a 2:30 PM start I'll listen to the Stanford Cardinal vs the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

A good Friday, this: less stressful than many (most?) recent days. I'm in the process of realigning my blogging / social networking. This involves setting up a new blog, Roscoe's Thoughts, reducing my activity on another, and becoming more comfortable using my Substack.

With one eye I'm following live reports from Florida re: Hurricane Milton, etc., as I've been been doing since mid-morning.
And with the other eye I'll be following the MLB Playoff Games starting with the Tigers / Guardians first (opening pitch minutes away), followed by the Mets / Phillies, then the Yankees /Royals, and as much of the Dodgers / Padres as I can before bedtime.
