Rather than follow the NY Jets vs the Houston Texans tonight on the NFL's Thursday Night Football, I'll be following a college football game instead. The Tulane Green Wave will be playing the Charlotte 49ers tonight, and I intend to listen in.

Navigating these economic times is tricky at times for most of us. I'm happy that changes I put in place a few weeks ago played out to my advantage today.

Plans are to listen to the 4th (and probably final?) game of the 2024 World Series tonight, at least as many innings as I can before falling asleep. Last night's sleep was short and filled with insomnia, hopefully tonight's will be better.

Listening to NFL games via the NFL+ app this afternoon. One thing I like about this format is the silence during most commercial breaks and the fact that the few commercial breaks that do air NEVER include political ads.

Today has been the “healthiest” day I've had for a week. By that I mean the “toothache from Hell” has become much more manageable, my general level of alertness and mental acuity has returned to normal; I'm walking around steadier and more confidently today. These little things that one usually takes for granted. It's nice to have them coming back.
I'm also glad the Hoosiers won their game today despite missing their number one Quarterback! Go Hoosiers!

So I had my 2nd Drs. apt. of the week this afternoon. It was a regularly scheduled followup with my eye Doc and all went well. We scheduled the next followup for October 2025.

Major event of this Wednesday was the 4-month follow-up apt. at my Drs. office. Spent most of the early part of the day prepping for that. And spent most of the afternoon going to the apt., meeting with the nurse, the PA, and the lab tech, then being driven back home. I'm happy to note that all went well in spite of dealing with that nasty toothache.

A productive Tuesday winds down and finds me listening to the radio call of tonight's college football game between the the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the UTEP Miners.
This morning I was able to catch up on some much needed yard work: mowed and trimmed part of the front lawn. And this afternoon I assembled paperwork and material needed for tomorrow afternoon's Dr.'s appointment.
