A while ago, someone posted an article about a peace deal that the leaders then was considering to accept but later didn’t. And idiotic nationalists born after the 90s screamed no way our leaders ever wanted to accept that deal, like it was the most humiliating thing ever. I know they are sad people. But maybe they should at least spend a minute or two pretending that they see people as individual human instead of just an extension of their ideology.

It’s very obvious that if you have people of the opposite gender in your life that you love, you will get sad when you read the news men get forced conscription. And the stories everywhere. You can’t say you don’t know. Yet you can still spin it for yourself to be the only victim. What does that say about you? Then you go on to lecture they need to go to therapy to be emotionally available. Obviously happy people don’t spend their precious free time to talk more about jobs. Or you can say that it describes people around you. Which begs the question how do you manage to surround yourselves with the kind of people that you can’t develop a slightest empathy for? But that would be your own problem than what reality actually is.
But how can I improve myself if I don’t read news daily and let well-informed journalists tell me how to view society?
It’s pretty clear that the more informed you are, the harder it is to have an opinion. That is, if knowledge is your actual concern. But it’s super easy when you only read what benefits you, to be self-righteous, to be a victim…
