Just an ordinary economist who loves leatherworking, photography and video. Love cooking. Eating I love even more. I travel. I drink as well

Dear Coilers, I haven’t been writing to you for a long time, for days...

I just want to thank to all of you who have participated in the Croatia earthquake fund to help collecting money for those in need. That is the first thing I want to say here.

There are many bad things in ones’ life, but the earthquake is among the worst. The last series of earthquakes which have hit my country have hit one of the poorest part of it.

In Banovina region, mostly old people live, many of them the national minorities. Not to swear, but Serbs and Gypsies.

My country is one of the purest white countries in the EU. Not one of, as a fact, but The. We are 99,9999% white and 96+% Croats.

But when the shake had shaken my land, we all raised and run to help. To all. No matter the nationality, colour or religion. Even if there were libtard Americans we would help them without questioning their limitations.

My dear friends from the Coil Community donated some coins which I’ve exchanged to USD and will exchange to HRK and will buy goods to donate to people in need in the area wounded by earthquakes...

...And then again, I’ve been in my hood today, talking to the people.

I’ve ended with S. having a beer in front of the bar closed due to COVID lockdown.

We had a few, and I’ve been thinking about what he was telling me...

I know I’m lucky to be born in a family which is in better position then the most. But when I hear the stories of the people who have not been in my position, I freeze and donno what to think.

Listening to the life stories of the people from the bottom make me deeply think about what I was given by birth.

In the end I conclude that for everything I have, no one but my parents I can be thankful to. I haven’t built anything. All I have was given to me by them...

Half a million dollar apt, education of two faculties, traveling, hobbies, futsal club, vineyard, sailboat, real estates, ... whatever...

I haven’t earned myself nothing.

And then again, I watch those poor ppl around me who fight daily to keep up with the life...

I try to teach them how to make their lives better and sustainable. But they just don’t get it. It looks like the poor were made to stay poor.

That may be a fact. But then again, it doesn’t mean that we cannot do our best to help them.

Just like those black Americans from the memes; uneducated, single parent raised, from junkie families, illiterate... but it doesn’t mean they are much worse then us.

We are all flesh and blood. We are all from the same Creator.

Some of us were created better, some worse, but in the end, we will all turn to the same dust.

What we have to do is to care for each other and help each other. We are all brothers and sisters of the human kind.

When you see a homeless person, slow down, talk to them, buy them a coffee and make them feel like human beings. It will make you feel good as much as it is gonna make them feel better.

We are all equal, we are all the same.

Even if it doesn’t look that way at first sight!

Dear Coilers and all the Crypto Community worldwide,

As some of you might have seen, my country, Croatia was hit by the series of earthquakes again.

The first series hit directly my born town, Zagreb, on March 22 followed by over a thousand more or less strong aftershocks. But as Zagreb is the capital and the most developed part of the country, it is going to rebuild much easier than the part which was hit in the end of 2020.

On December 28, an earthquake of 5,2 Richter hit area around the town of Petrinja, some 50km from my home. My house was shaking badly, the area around epicentre was heavily hit...

BUT, the day later, December 29, the main earthquake of 6,2 Richter destroyed the same place and over 200 towns and villages in Banovina, Sisak-Moldavina County region.

At approximately 12:20 PM CET (11:20 UTC) on 29 December 2020, an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 Mw (6.2 ML) hit the Sisak-Moslavina County, Croatia, with an epicenter 3 km (1.9 mi) west-southwest of Petrinja. The maximum felt intensity was estimated at VIII (Heavily damaging) to IX (Destructive) on the European macroseismic scale. Before this event there were three foreshocks, the strongest of which had a magnitude of 5.2 Mw on the day before. The earthquake was followed by numerous aftershocks, the strongest of which had a magnitude of 4.8 Mw.

Tens of thousands of people lost their homes

Initial help in food and essential needs came from every part of Croatia and many other countries have sent tents, mobile homes, containers and other goods as the first response.

People have organized themselves, football clubs supporters, ordinary people... and went to the hit area to help.

The main problem, which comes after the first response, is homelessness!

I have decided to try to organize a fund from which, we as a crypto community, can/will help.

I’ve renamed my 2 Uphold accounts, XRP and BTC to “Petrinja Earthquake” and I hope the community will respond and help collect funds for help.

To make it all transparent I will post the transactions publicly as well as the spending of the funds will be decided by the community.

I’d like few members from the community to be supervisors, to make it all maximally transparent.

‼️My wish is, depending on the funds collected, to help in any way possible. From getting essential goods to rebuilding a house of some family in need, but the decision will be made by the community as a whole.‼️

I ask you, if any of you have suggestions, to help me organize the fund so can be managed and controlled by the community due to the most possible transparency.

I appeal to you, please help if you want and can!

I know the times are not great for many of you, but there are people who desperately need help as they’ve lost everything they had in this earthquake.

If, by any chance, you are willing to help, me and my whole country will be thankful for life.

I wish I was alive and able to participate and help! – Thomas Jefferson

Please help,

Srdan

Dear Coilers, few hours of 2020 left here. Cannot wait for it to become the past.

Many things had happen during last 366 days. A day more in the year which would be better to have less days. But that’s life.

Covid plandemic is still here and not going anywhere untill “they” decide it is time to “end” it. Do you remember that phrase “next two weeks are crucial!”?! How many fortnights have passed yet we are still in those crucial one. Temporary measures becoming permanent... As the person with 6 years of biomedical education I’ve learnt some things about those matters. As well, as the person with more education in economics than med, I can see what is happening with the economy too. Things like those cannot be anything but intentional. Anyway, when the homelessness, unemployment rate and starvation in the first world countries reach highest levels in modern history, people will still hope for the same “leaders” to save them and help them and will obediently listen and do whatever they tell them to do.

There were many hard years I lived in but 2020 was almost as bad as 2021! – Thomas Jefferson

Then there were earthquakes here. In March (main one on 22nd) and in December, couple of days ago. Over 1000 with following aftershocks. Some dead, many injured, thousands left without their homes...

Just a few seconds are enough for people to loose everything and everyone! Remember that, never forget it! When you think you are on the top, soon you can fall. When you think your reached the very bottom, know that there are deeper hells than your one.

There were many good things that have happened in 2020. My football club, Dinamo Zagreb reached 1/16 round in UEFA Europa League and will play Krasnodar on 18 and 25 February. Ok, this was the only good thing in 2020.

What will 2021 bring us?! Nothing good. Fascism will get stronger and stronger, Economy weaker and weaker and people will be more depressed than they already are.

Coil will end boost program in the way we know it and will start the world’s only affiliate program in which new affiliates don’t have any benefit at all. Interesting concept it is. I wonder what are the results by now but I can guess...

2021 will also bring us genetic therapy for Covid-19 (mRNA) and some vaccines (Sputnik...) which will be forced by media as none of the sane people will be willing to take them. In Croatia, EU, officially less than 50% of medical staff will accept it but the real numbers are less than 25%. Now imagine the situation in which the great majority of doctors refuse vaccination?! How many insecure plebeians will accept it?!

That’s why they will invent those covid passes, something like papers which Jews had in 1930s in Germany. Armbands would be a nice solution too. Who wears an armband cannot enter stores, restaurants, bars, public transport... and will finally end in ghetto with the same kind.

Then we will se le the fall of small businesses and corporations getting stronger as well as increasing number of technocrats taking seats in governments around the world.

Raise of racism against white people, and black privilege and supremacy will try to get even stronger In 2021 than they were in 2020 in some falling, soon ex first world countries, but the dependence on other people’s work will eventually put those movements to the place they belong and our beautiful Earth will again be the place where all people are equal and where all lives matter. Just like it was before 2020.

What else will happen?! Ripple, Brad and Chris will have to pay fine for selling XRP as a security but XRP will be cleared as non security and its price will finally reach the level around $1 where it belongs. XRP Community will still shout “Buy the dip! Buy the dip” while watching maxis of the “China controlled enemy” buying Lambos.

My wish for 2021 is for earthquakes to stop and for international travel to normalize. I wish good health to all people I care for and happiness of all good people, known and unknown.

I thank you all for reading my posts thru this hard year and watching my videos.

See you in 2021!

Happy New Year to you all!

The Earthquake – Day 2

Dear Coilers, I know that many of you think that the low XRP price is the worst thing that could ever have happen to you...

But let me tell you...

I’ve survived a war, I’ve survived destructive earthquakes...

Trust me, the price of the coin is absolutely irrelevant!

Live your life, love your family, and forgive to those who have trespassed against you!

Dear Coilers, you already know Mr. S. I’ve told you his story, twice...

His situation is still all but enviable, during the Christmas season even less. Cold and humid basement he calls home doesn’t help either.

But there are always people willing to help those in need so Mr. S had at least somewhat of a Christmas.

I went for a walk (just came back and writing this) and to have a coffee (to go as bars are locked down) in the neighbourhood across the main road from where I live. There is a small tobacco shop where I knew I’ll find him and check was he happy with his Christmas present.

I’ve taken a “latte” and talked to a guy working there who told me that he had seen Mr. S half an hour ago collecting empty bottles. So he will be here again soon...

...and soon he was there.

He was in a good mood and pretty talkative. I’ve taken him a beer and he told me that he was thrilled with the package he got. A wool beanie hat and gloves, 3 big sausages, a few cans of meet cheese, cans of pâté and sardines, big box of Christmas cookies, ready to eat meals, a big steak...

Then his mind transferred him back to the past and he was telling me anecdotes from his days in Libya, about how everything was better in communism and the time his wife was still alive...

I’ve mostly listen without saying much. There are not many people willing to listen to his stories. But to be honest, he really has some interesting stories to tell!

Then he told me about his Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (while lighting a cigarette) and how he lost his bronchodilator inhaler and pills so he has to wait for 10 days to get new prescription as he can get a month worth therapy every 30 days. To buy new dose before he gets the prescription costs about $50 so he decided to go without...

...so now I have to fetch him those on Monday. I just don’t want him to pass away before he eats all that food.

Anyway, Mr. S had somewhat of a Christmas, a fact which made me and a few more other people happy. Helping those in need is what all of us should do.

Making someone’s day will make your day too, try it, you’ll see I’m right.

The Bitch – Seegej Jesenin – Art by John and Srdan

The Holy Magistrate has decided! We will fund the orphanage with the contribution and effort of the 4 most prominent families, philanthropists of our town.

We will build the monastery with the orphanage with the 4 workhouses for the children so they will be able to try to repay those who feed them with their hard work...

...A year has passed and the walls were built. In the middle a garden was placed. A garden with just one young tree. The fruit tree, young and weak just like the orphans, to remind them of the time passed and to bring them hope of the sweet fruits of their hard labour which will come after years of serving in the workhouses as a “thank you” to those who have built the shelter for their unfortunate destinies.

The tree grew as well as were the children. Many died of hard work and illness but many new were coming. Workhouses were never kept without small hands to do the job.

Years passed and the tree was strong and big, In the sixth spring of the tree, it had finally bloomed. The whole garden was filled with the pleasant smell of its purple-red flowers. The tree was the center of the world of all children from the orphanage.

Not long time passed, the fruit buds started forming and the children were dreaming of the sweet wonder which was sent to them from the good Almighty... bites sweeter than anything they’ve ever tasted in their poor lives.

A night has fallen. Full moon spilled its light over the garden, uncovering the shadow which came from the monastery.

A flash from the shiny metal of the axe, “tap, tap, tap”... and the tree fell on the ground...

...The next morning was the saddest morning in the orphanage in many years. The children were gathering in the eating room in deaf silence. Just the tears rolling down their cheeks and their red tired eyes on pale gray faces were telling that there is still a spark of life in them...

The Holy Mother, leader of the monastery, said the prayer before the modest breakfast. Then she said: “You, children, are the proof that those who are wealthy are good and caring. They care about you and their kindness and charity keeps you fed and alive! NEVER forget that THEY’ve kept you alive! Never forget that everything you have came from their kindness and that there is not and never will be any fruit you will taste which came from the above!

If the Almighty wanted you to know the taste of sweet, he wouldn’t send you here in the first place.

For you, the only taste is bitter!

The tree was here only to give you a hope, but, as a fact, there is no hope for you.

Remember and never forget – you are the lowest of low, till the end!

Sweet is for those who were born to taste sweet, bitter is for you.

The bitterness of bitter from the wealthy who feed you is sweeter than the sweetest sweet you will ever deserve.

Remember, there is NO hope for the poor! – said the Holy Mother while drops of blood from the fresh cut were staining the bandage on her arm.

Süleymaniye Mosque – Istanbul, Turkey

Dear Coilers, Zagreb, Croatia is famous for its Advent. It was voted “the best Advent in Europe” for 3 consecutive years. The city center was packed with locals and tourists who used to occupie all available accommodation during the Advent season.

But this year is different. No Christmas markets, no huuuuuge ice skating park, no smell of street food and hot wine, no... Just Covid and pretty empty streets.

At least some of the Christmas spirit is here. But it is nothing compared to what we are used to.

I hope next year will be better...
