Slams Philippine government’s illegal arrest of farmers in North Cotabato

According to a statement from Rigoberto F. Sanchez, spokesperson for the New People’s Army (NPA), in Southern Mindanao, Red fighters under the Mt. Apo Sub-Regional Command arrested Police Inspector Menardo Nisperos Cui, Philippine National Police (PNP), Badge No. 0-28281, on Dec. 28, 2017, in North Cotabato and subsequently declared him NPA Prisoner of War.

Twin Cities protest against U.S. war on the DPRK.

St. Paul, MN – Over 30 people joined an evening peace vigil in the Twin Cities on Dec. 20 to speak out against the danger of a new U.S. war in Korea and to call for an end to the series of U.S. wars and military interventions.

March on International Human Rights Day in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN – Over 150 people marched on International Human Rights day, Dec. 10, in south Minneapolis demanding an end to Trump’s wars and his administration’s attacks on immigrants. The Anti-War Committee and the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee co-sponsored the community march, which started at Powderhorn Park.

Minneapolis, MN – The Anti-War Committee and the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC) are co-sponsoring a community march on International Human Rights Day to show solidarity with the communities whose human rights have been violated by the Trump administration. Protesters will rally in Powderhorn Park, Minneapolis, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. and will then march on Lake Street past hundreds of immigrant-owned businesses to say “No ban, no wall, sanctuary for all!”

Anti-war protesters oppose war on Korea  at Trump resort in Miami.

Doral, FL- On Nov. 11, fifteen protesters gathered outside of Trump National Golf Resort in Doral to demand no military action against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (north Korea). Activists called on Trump to end his warmongering, close the bases, remove U.S troops from along the Korean border, and stop all U.S military exercises taking place in and around the Korean peninsula.

Protest marks 100 years since the signing of the Balfour Declaration.

New York, NY – Over 100 people gathered in front of the Israeli Embassy and Consulate, Nov. 2, to protest 100 years since the signing of the Balfour Declaration. The Balfour Declaration was a statement made by the British government in support of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, paving the way for the creation of Israel and the destruction of Palestine.

Dallas protest demands U.S. hands of Korea.

Dallas, TX – About 20 protesters gathered at the Grassy Knoll near downtown Dallas. Oct. 14, holding signs and chanting to demand peace with Korea. The action was organized by the Dallas Community Action Committee (DCAC), a new organization in the city. It was also endorsed by the Dallas Peace and Justice Center, North Texas Veterans for Peace, Code Pink, and the North Texas Light Brigade. Several socialist groups also attended.
