Chicago, IL – With more than 5000 protesters rallying outside, and hundreds inside, Donald Trump canceled his campaign event tonight, March 11, on the campus of the University of Illinois. Community groups, including the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, joined the demonstration.

Chicago, IL – Some of the strongest women fighters in the working class and oppressed nationalities’ movements in Chicago gathered March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day. Four women were honored with the first Rasmea Odeh Awards, in an event organized by Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO), and endorsed by the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, AnakBayan, Anti-War Committee, and the U.S. Palestinian Community Network. More than 100 people attended the celebration.

Jacksonville, FL – Over 100 activists and community members gathered here, July 26, to honor Sandra Bland. Bland, who supported the Black Lives Matter movement, became national news when she was found dead in her jail cell after being arrested for a minor traffic offense. Many doubt the official story that Bland committed suicide, especially after video evidence surfaced of Bland being handled roughly by the police.
