Minneapolis, MN – On Feb. 22, the snow fell as Minnesotans stood outside the offices of Senator Klobuchar to oppose the U.S. war threats against Korea. A statement from protest organizers, the Anti-War Committee, said, “Korea has a right to self-determination. The Trump regime needs to stand down, end U.S. war preparations on the Korean peninsula and not add the deaths of millions of Koreans to the administration’s already bloody tally.”
New York, NY – About 40 activists gathered outside the Israeli Consulate on the afternoon of Feb. 18, as a part of the national day of action in solidarity with the Palestinian girl, Ahed Tamimi.
Minneapolis, MN – Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) Political Secretary Steff Yorek called for protests at President Trump’s proposed Washington, DC military parade. Speaking to Fight Back! on Feb. 7, Yorek stated, “Trump’s military parade cannot be separated from preparations for war on the Korean peninsula, and other places. At a time when the U.S. is waging wars around the world, there is no reason why those of us who support peace with justice should allow Trump’s display of military might in D.C. to go forward unimpeded.”
New York, NY — Approximately 100 people gathered in Penn Station during rush hour, Jan. 30, to demand justice for Ahed Tamimi. The action was called by the NY4Palestine coalition.
New York, NY – Organizers gathered at the International Action Center, Jan. 16, for a panel called “After J20: Fighting Back Against Political Repression.” The panel was organized by the Committee to Stop FBI Repression – NYC (CSFR) as part of the #DaysOfRage. According to a statement from Rigoberto F. Sanchez, spokesperson for the New People’s Army (NPA), in Southern Mindanao, Red fighters under the Mt. Apo Sub-Regional Command arrested Police Inspector Menardo Nisperos Cui, Philippine National Police (PNP), Badge No. 0-28281, on Dec. 28, 2017, in North Cotabato and subsequently declared him NPA Prisoner of War.
St. Paul, MN – Over 30 people joined an evening peace vigil in the Twin Cities on Dec. 20 to speak out against the danger of a new U.S. war in Korea and to call for an end to the series of U.S. wars and military interventions.

New York, NY – Over 100 people gathered in front of the Israeli Embassy and Consulate, Nov. 2, to protest 100 years since the signing of the Balfour Declaration. The Balfour Declaration was a statement made by the British government in support of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, paving the way for the creation of Israel and the destruction of Palestine.
This paper prepared collectively by the central leadership of Freedom Road Socialist Organization, and was presented by leading member of FRSO, Frank Chapman, at the Centennial Commemoration of the October Revolution, held in New York City, July 2017.
