Thankful that one of my work computers is a cool running Chromebook. I think the heat is getting to my bigger laptop running Debian. Of course, the bigger machine is over ten years old, it's about time it should be crapping out. Don't think my budget has enough room to replace the bigger machine, which is what I use to handle most of my graphics work. Hmm... I may have some hard decisions to make soon.

Not the most exciting Friday I've ever had, but I'll take it. Took the wife out to lunch at a favorite restaurant, did a lot of work on some KofC chores that have been haunting me for weeks, and stayed out of the hot weather as much as I could. Relaxing this evening to a a Rangers / Dodgers MLB game, determined to do little else tonight. Don't want to break anything.

This Thursday is shaping up to be a much better, more normal day for me than the last couple. Happy for that. Good quality time with the wife, productive and not too frustrating KofC comms and work, good baseball to watch on MLB TV.

What to say about this Wednesday? The Rangers won their game against the Rays this afternoon, that was pretty nice. This infernal heat shows no sign of abating, that's a bummer. The wife's been hiding in her room since coming home from her doctor's appointments this afternoon, that's curious..But at least I've made it through another day without breaking anything or causing any trouble, there is that to be thankful for.

Tempted to fix myself a snack, but I know anything I eat this late in the day will make me gain weight, and I want to lose weight, not gain.

Can't decide which is more bothersome today: my headache, or my back ache. Working together they pretty effectively prevent me from any creative activity. Well, I DID get my personal laundry all done. Monday is the day I try to do that, though sometimes I pit it off a day or two. And I have a baseball game that I'm planning to follow tonight, but that's five hours away. So, what to do in the interim? That is the question now. Hmm....

Having a very quiet, restful Sunday. Wife took me out to a favorite restaurant for brunch. Listening to an exciting Rangers vs Cleveland game late afternoon. May publish this evening the Newsletter I built yesterday. Or I may not. Tomorrow will be soon enough, actually.

A good Saturday draws to a close. Accomplished some good KofC business: built and polished a monthly newsletter, worked with Scribe to finalize previous business meeting's minutes, spoke with Purser to resolve all issues related to our annual audit.

One full Friday is winding down. I started the day with 2 self-assigned chores. Wrapped one up, made good progress on another (I'll be able to finish it tomorrow) and picked up a third that I handled quite well.

This has not been a particularly productive Thursday, but that's okay. The earlier days of this week were busy enough to allow me this quiet, restful day. I anticipated having to do a lot of phone calling (And I am NOT a telephone person, as everybody knows!) to resolve a billing issue between my pharmacy and my health insurance company and possibly my doctor. But I was pleasantly surprised when making the first phone call this morning to learn that the problem had already been resolved... in my favor. Well! How about that!?
For the rest of the day I stayed inside under the air-conditioning, and kept out of trouble.
