What a lazy, relaxing Sunday this has been! Guess that's just what I need after the stressful week behind.
I do have one apt. to keep midweek at the clinic, but that's just to check my blood pressure. No big deal. And I'll want to stop by the pharmacy to pick up some medicated eye drops to use before and after the cataract surgery in early March.

Late morning Saturday and I'm happy to note all the work the wife and I did yesterday dealing with the blockage and leak at the kitchen sink seems to have been successful. More remains to be done, but it's not urgent. We're able to use the kitchen sink now.

Not my favorite Friday afternoon. I've spent most of it thus far playing plumber, trying to unplug a stuck kitchen drain. Making very little progress after 3 hours. Work continues.
In happier news, my wonky hips are much less wonky these days. I can walk okay for short distances and I can even carry light weights for short distances. So there is that.

Actually got out with the mower and cut some grass in the front and back yard yesterday with the wife's help. Back and hips feel remarkably good this morning, but arthritis in both hands is pretty noticeable. Think I'll wait a few days before finishing the mowing.

Midday Wednesday and I'm tired. So is my wife. We've had a full day already, a good day. She's napping now, and I'm anticipating an early bed time for myself, followed by a good night's sleep.

Got totally disgusted with my computer printer not working so, to avoid stressing myself out to a dangerous degree, I've disconnected the darned printer, and my flat bed scanner for good measure, and set both old machines on the floor, clearing lots of new table space back in the home office area. This is not the 1st time I've removed the printer and scanner from my office ecosystem. But this time I'll try to avoid replacing them. After all, I don't have any real need for them since I'm now, finally fully retired.

Do I watch the Super Bowl Game tonight, or not? And do I follow all the pregame hype shows on CBS today, or not? These are the questions I'm wrestling with this morning.
One the one hand, I do love football. And this should be a really good game to watch. But on the other hand, the game and all the CBS broadcasts before it will be full of leftist propaganda, ... and I find that disgusting. Hmm...
I'll have the rest of this Sunday to decide.

Earlier today I won this CC game when I checkmated the slippery Black King in the middle of the board. My Rook on the d1 Square delivered the mating move, and the King's possible flight squares were all covered by my other Rook, my Queen, and two of my pawns.

Watching old eps. of Wheel of Fortune while waiting for the wife to get home from her job. After she grabs some lunch we'll head out to my Eye Doctor to verify that my right eye has fully healed and that I'm ready to schedule cataract surgery for the left eye.
