Setting up your team's domain

To point your domain to our servers, you'll go to your domain registrar and edit your DNS settings. They should let you add an A record or CNAME record (depending on your situation listed below).

If instead they only let you change the name servers, you can use a service like 1984hosting's FreeDNS to create the records for your domain, and point your name servers to them.

Create a DNS record for your domain based on the type of domain you're using:

Domain Record type Value / Data
Top level (e.g. example.com) A-record 162.209.77.201
Top level - IPv6 (optional) AAAA-record 2001:4800:7818:103:be76:4eff:fe01:76f9
Subdomain (e.g. blog.example.com) CNAME host.writeas.org
