So I realized late in the afternoon that I'd forgotten to take any pain meds during the day. That was a mistake. I'll have to remember to take that crap tomorrow starting in the morning, then midday, and again early evening. Nighttime for sure!

It's been an easy, relaxing Wednesday. For a change. I did my weekly laundry: 2 loads. And that's about it. Stayed inside under the air conditioning. Sweet!

A very productive Tuesday is rapidly drawing to a close. Things went very smoothly at a Bonded Title Company and at a County Tax Office today. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. A project that has been driving me totally nuts since late April has now been wrapped up. Thank God!

A pretty good Monday is now in the books. Spent 2 hours mowing and trimming the front yard early before the heat became too fierce. And I don't seem to be suffering any particular ill effects from that work.
Spent time at the DMV with Sylvia this afternoon, taking the first step toward getting a bonded title for the car that we used as a trade-in to get our new car earlier this Spring. For a change, everything there went very well for us. The DMV lady was polite and efficient. After asking a few questions and looking over the material I presented, she stamped the appropriate forms and gave us what we need to proceed to the next step. If the rest of the process goes this smoothly, I'll be happy.

Sunday evening finds me in a much better state of mind than has been the case for most of the day. Concerns about issues that will be resolved soonish, one way or another, plagued me. The Rangers winning their game this afternoon helped pick me up. Picking up meds at my pharmacy helped, too. And showing Sylvia the material I'd complied for her application for a bonded title, lifted a weight from me as well.
So when I put head to pillow later, I'll do feeling much netter than when I woke this morning. Thank God!

I “may” have pushed things a bit too far today. I did 3 sessions of yard work: 1 half-hour early morning weeding the front yard, then another half-hour later in the morning cutting branches in the back yard, and finally another hour early afternoon working on those back yard branches. Now in the early evening I'm getting “twinges” in my lower back and hips, and soreness in my shoulder. Hmm...
The last time I did a “serious” amount of work on that back yard foliage, I was crippled up for several days afterwards. This time I broke the work into smaller time segments, rested between them, and took Tylenol throughout the day. Hopefully I'll be okay tomorrow. We'll see.

Friday morning finds my attention being pulled in many different directions. Today's challenge will be organizing my thoughts, and managing my time and actions between all the different projects for which I'm currently responsible.

Thursday morning found me spending 45 minutes uprooting and clearing out some nasty weeds from the front yard. Worked up a pretty good sweat, and the lawn looks less scary now.
Stressed out this afternoon dealing with legal/financial matters.
Plan to relax this evening following MLB Games.

On the one hand i feel rather guilty for not participating with other Knights from my Assembly in the Flag Retirement and Burning Ceremony earlier this evening over at the Church.
But on the other hand I told all involved that I most likely wouldn't be attending. I'm still not steady enough on my feet to responsibly participate in Honor Guard activity that calls for marching outside over rough ground and standing at attention with sword held at carry position for an extended period of time. Heck, I still need to keep a walking stick handy when I'm away from home. My slow recovery from that 07 May fall in Seguin continues, but it's still keeping me sidelined from lots of work I'd otherwise be doing.

What to say about this Tuesday? All things considered, it's been pretty good. I've kept my physical activity and stressful situations to a minimum. I was able to share good advice with friends, and got help from them when I asked. My back pain has been lighter today than in days, though twinges in my shoulder and lower back remind me I'm not yet back to 100%. So I've got much to be thankful about as I head to my bed tonight.
